i was still in high school when peep passed away, i’d been listening to him since 2016. every song of his has an important memory in my life, used to trip so hard to his music. there was always something so comforting about how his music helped me through my darkest times. my addictions. depression/anxiety, trauma. through all the people in and out of my life. loss. betrayal. his music made me feel less alone. i’d be faded on my own off the hard drugs i got addicted to and the music felt like it was keeping me alive truly, & when i got the notification that he had died, i went numb. i didn’t realise how much the death of a person i’d never met could affect me so much. it still brings me to tears at times to this day. love you hellboy, thank you for all the memories. and thank you for opening my eyes yet keeping me comfort through my drug abuse, it felt like you were listening the whole time. 🖤

Interesting fact: Peep's song "Honestly" was initially supposed to be the outro song to this mixtape, although it was scrapped and was instead released as a single. It's worth the listen because I think that it's one of his best songs and it has that Hellboy vibe to it.

Lil Peep was one of a kind, i just wish i could have heard about him before he died and broke the mainstream, I'm glad I get to listen to his music a little at a time as they get legitimate releases and that his mom gets the money. That's love.

finally listened to lil peep after going through old podcast episodes of H3 and gus Johnson expressed his love for lil peep. this music is legit very good, i really appreciated the guitar intros to some of the songs and the messages aboout heartbreak and distrust are so powerful. it really resonated with me in a way that most music from this genre really doesnt. Im 27 so i was only vaguely aware of his death via social media and never listened to his music, writing it off as another version of the same old stuff but this feels very different and im happy to say i like it & im sad its over. RIP dude, this was a true loss of an ARTIST, not just a rapper.

I wasn’t a fan u till 2020 I can’t believe I miss someone that never met to bad when I started listening to him he was gone. I wish I found him sooner I am still young but they way I grew up in life I feel for his music n understand it. I am still not a good place but I jus blast peep mostly this album. I wish he could have seen the fan base he created throughout the years. He has haters but who doesn’t. I don’t like peep jus for his music. He had a amazing personality that I love abt peep.
