@@Austyn59913 I think so too but I feel like volcanic bird seems more impressive because of the difference crazy between the horrorcore of mista thug and the neo psych of v bird
You should definitely check his alter ego Bedwetter were he uses abstract storytelling about his childhood. It's one of the saddest Hip-Hop albums, of the 2010's at least. He is a pretty DIY artist, who is definitely one of my favorite producers.
love u smags. also, check out lum’s first album at some point. mista thug isolation is a legendary classic rap album. you’d also be surprised just how different it sounds from vbe. (maybe even oblivion access at some point too but i won’t get my hopes up too much)
You dont understand how much i would pay to litsen to this album for the first time again, in a proper place, not walkinng back home. this went from my most hated LUM album, to imo the best, most depressing and unique album i have ever heard, every single litsen is better than the last, the writing is so cryptic and well done you just sit there thinking for hours about lines. im so glad you litsened to this
If you're gonna check out more of Travis' stuff, I know you'll probably go for Mista Thug Isolation first but I'd be so interested to see what you make of Bedwetter. Some really difficult and unsettling stuff on there but also incredibly impactful, and I don't see it talked about nearly enough
The mix of tracks makes the album so unique and gives it its flavoe. it's an amazing listen in one go but also has banger cuts to listen to on their own.
Video 2 of asking for a reaction of Today I Laid Down Comment I put on the last video: Also, Today I Laid Down- Bl4ck M4rket C4rt is an album I highly recommend you check out The artist was an incredibly talented 17 y/o who was taken from us way too soon through suicide. The album would be right up your alley with the shoegaze and slacker rock influences that Kai took into consideration while producing the album. Rest in piece Kai Wesener
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MY GUY a few recommendations: Process - Sampha (experimental r&b, great production) Nurture - Porter Robinson (light summer electric with fun production) Koi No Yokan - Deftones (very heavy, sexier and heavier radiohead imo) Hypochondriac - Brakence (very experimental emo rap, glitch pop) Reading Writing And Arithmetic - The Sundays (the smiths ish, with beautiful female vocals)
I'm so glad you're getting around to reacting to this album. It's one of my personal favorites for how much I can relate to the dark topics on it. Depression, toxic relationships, drug abuse, and thoughts of suicide have plagued me for the past few years. I'd like to think that I'm on the up though. I know what I just said doesn't really matter that much but I just wanted to say I really appreciate this video. Thank you for making it.
30:29 his own brain did him dirty, it betrayed him. A lot of the album seems pointed outwards but its fueled by depressive self hatred. Happens to the best of us, and I definitely include Travis there because of his incredible abilities and acumen as an artist.
The week before I did mushrooms for the first time I was listening to this album a bunch and the whole trip had the same abandoned elementary school vibe to it and that vibe was laser engraved into my brain for a few months after that
Smags, you absolutely need to check out Script of the Bridge by Chameleons. Some top tier post-punk there, truly amazing and beatiful melancholic stuff And Jeopardy by The Sound, I assure you, it's godly
Still asking for Diamond Dogs or Let's Dance by Bowie. In Diamond Dogs there is a suite of three songs (Sweet Thing, Candidate and Sweet Thing Reprise) which you should listen continuously.
ITS HAPPENING now you need to check out Mista Thug Isolation!! you will be surprised how he has grown as an artist, imo one of the goats, headboard gotta be one of the best songs ever fr
Absolutely no relation to Lil Ugly Mane but I'd recommend you go through some Miles Davis. Especially "Bitches Brew", "In A Silent Way" and "Get Up With It"
Hey bro! I´d love to suggest an album for you to react/review, which I think you´d find really interesting based on what I'´ve seen you react already, its a really unique listen. The Black Saint and The Sinner Lady by Charles Mingus. Trust me!
On one of your older videos you said something like "I think i'd fw this album more if I was depressed" and I felt like you'd feel a similar way about think one so I stopped recommending it lol. Glad you liked it and a few of the instrumentals hit for you. Ty for the vids! (also, Bright Eyes please 🙂)
