@@prodkilam he’s literally apart of the new wave coming up rn, his sound doesn’t fit in with the old ways bro. He pushing the boundaries, he’s new gen..
@@prodkilam it’s gonna be a few years, but I look at the class coming up rn as 2016 all over again. The new wave is bubbling rn. Xavier, nett, even Ken id put in (even though he been at it for way longer ik that sounds weird) but what I mean is They’re the next Uzi, carti, etc the next big stars imo
I’m sorry, but Xav is so hard, and the fact that uzi was a pioneer, and now helping Xav who, mark my words is the next pioneer, Xav making shit ppl don’t understand, it’s polarizing and they said the same thing to uzi when he first came out
That’s what I been saying. This new wave starting to come up rn is gonna be the next 2016. The same people who were defending Uzi and the class of 2016 back then are the same people who are hating on this new wave. Times are different
Honestly at this point people are just gonna hate🤷♂️ I’ve literally never heard an exavier song ever however, I do like the fact that Uzi is actually conversing and collaborating with the youth, this space needs more companionship fr
@@aceambling7685 I know you probably only listen to rap music and that’s okay to be a surface level dude Yk, but I’m talking abt In general bro not just fuckin Uzi, it is good for people to collaborate. That’s how shit progresses usually just look at any other field of work, scientists have peer reviews for a reason. This space needs more of that is all I’m saying…
@@andrewdavis8381 I listen to a wide variety of music and Im all for established artists supporting the youth, as long as they dont turn them out for the cultists.
If anything 2020- now was that placeholder imo, this new wave ARE the ones that are gonna become superstars, all the UG rappers in the last few years pushing the sound , and now we have even more unique sounds being made. Xav, nett, skaiwater, Ken Carson, maybe yhap they’re all gonnna be the next big rappers. 2016v2
IMO this new wave is raw and unpolished so a lot of casuals aren’t gonna fw it. Just like 08-14, Xavier is basically the lil b of this generation, lil b got hated on and so is xav A lot of people are gonna make a watered version of that sound Then the mainstream is gonna milk it dry. And in 2 years no one’s gonna give a shit about Ken/opium, they just riding that wave rn. Btw I always see you in Chaltom comments💯
@@statera. I completely agree with u the new wave is still raw, but that’s why I think we just gotta give it time. Especially someone like nettspend who’s still so young. Up until recently I thought Ken was just another UG rapper, but I see potential. Especially he’s working with star boy as one of his producers and the wave he’s on rn is kind of a mesh of rap/edm. just recently 2hollis posted he might be producing something for Ken’s next tape. 2hollis is on some different shit if you haven’t heard his new album you should check it out. But lmao his videos be fire I be tryna get him to listen to smokedope and stardust by lean
2hollis is great I haven’t listened to his new album but I listened to 2 when it came out and that showed mad potential of what he could do. Chaltom needs to listen to 2016 by smokedope Modern day cloud rap classic But the thing with Ken is ye he’s still young but I feel like the way raps going with music I can’t see him being in the picture.
@@statera. valid opinion, I see him most likely switching his sound up, and imo the way it’s looking right now as much as he’s still in carti’s shadow , i’m not saying he’ll be bigger than carti, but I definitely think he’ll eventually become his OWN artist rather than just carti’s sidekick or whatever. I don’t think opium will be around forever especially with all the allegations against HxG and Destroy Lonely now. I think carti and Ken will continue to go up and leave them in the dust tbh
Yeah real deal underground is like 50k views or less on a single track, there’s so much in the underground rn and everyone really is making unique shit it’s like 2016-2017 again, honestly a little bit better because rap keeps expanding and there’s less pressure to be boring or play it safe as far as mixing, expression, and experimentation
Its funny because based on uzis age and hometown you know he was jerk dancing back in the day. The collab makes sense when u really think about it. Xaviers music is just a play on jersey club
Xav is hard. I’m so tired of mainstream rap it’s so repetitive and boring. Xaviersobased is just refreshing so people are drawn to him. And they’re snippet goes so hard
