I always wondered what would happen if they gave a classical music concert and they threw in some songs like this without telling them what it was would they like it as oppose to them knowing it's a rap song and probably hate it before hearing it

I agree, art has a standard, no matter what anyone says. Past that standard and it just becomes common skill. Art has to be difficult to master, period point blank. It's suppose to be something special to convey culture and depth. When art becomes easily accessible to everyone, it degrades the value of what makes something like rap (rhythm and poetry) into 2-chord prog autotune piece of shite.

Because there is also score and sheet music for vocals. And if so, can't anybody become a guitarist legend? It's all hand-eye coordination. This is both a testament to you and 808 Mafia's TM88, trap gets a lot of criticism about talent but producers don't write melodies that translate this well to piano by accident. This is ill!
I think that’s what makes trap so interesting to listen to. The subject matter is not as intricate as the average person would expect, but the melodies are so out of this world, so emotional. They really do put their heart into their music

For those who don't play an instrument. The "stacking my bands all the way to the top, all the way til my bands falling over" vocal melody would be insanely hard to play while maintaining the main instrumental. You fucking killed it my guy. 🙏🙏🙏
sorry to burst your bubble, but all uzi did was write the lyrics and *maybe* mess around with the beat a bit with the producer after he made it for uzi. uzi doesn't rlly have anything to do with the sound of the beat and how its produced, as he didn't produce it. if anything, the producer should be getting more credit for the sound it still sounds nice on piano tho
That's not true, the entire right hand of this piano piece is uzi's vocals. Go get up the original TM88 beat and think about what you'd do over it- Uzi's creativity of stretching the notes over the beat at adjusted keys and such is a genuine of show of musical talent- it's not just the beat. Rap is less lyrical now, it's based on beat choice, flow, key, vibe and voice and that's because that is what people like. This piece is a masterpiece in terms of flow and the hook and that is because of Uzi. Give credit where credit is due my friend, music changes.
UnderRageOfficial exactly. Uzi didn't make the song entirely, but he still deserves allt of credit for the songs flow and great sound overall due to his vocals
+SAIKO totally, it's actually quite a beautiful piece from a trapper of this era so it annoys me to read "uzi's music is trash". And it was his choice to use that beat so good on him. Such a well put together beat tho and I almost thinks its better than most of the Metro boomin stuff atm.
Lil Uzi originally wrote XO Tour Lif3 for Adele, but she had to decline because she said it was to emotional for her to perform. This is the what was supposed to be version for Adele

Darion Anthony it's challenging but not as hard as you would think, songs like this are actually pretty easy bc of the lack of complex chords and the repetition. These days you can learn piano on RU-vid lol.
