A lot of respect for two wonderful people from the past. Lawrence Welk was a very kind and generous man. With his German ancestry, Lawrence loved to play the Polka on his accordion, a deeply religious person that attended Mass daily. It was very kind of Lawrence to feature Wally on his show, While the performance by Wally singing in Polish was popular with Polish Americans, there was a possibility that there could have been some criticism from non Polish viewers watching as well. I'm sure it took some boldness perhaps on Wally's part as well to perform in Polish, but He did a great job featuring Polish American traditions and entertainment. Bardzo Dobry !
