Support kendrick for what reason exactly? Most ppl didn't listen to dude fr until this beef happened. Y'all know he denounced his blackness right? No, probably didn't know that. Said it right on a song, that none of yall cared to listen to.
@@lah_theoneandonly916. How dumb and delusional are you. It’s not up to Kendrick. He can’t just say here take my spot instead. Crazy how a lot of you lame Wayne fans are not in touch with reality and live in delusion. Believing your own bullshit. Spewing nonsense. Shits embarrassing. Goes to show you what kinda audience and fans Wayne has. Low IQ idiots.
It's a role models position. Wayne is everything we say he is but he's not a role model. He's a heavy drug addict that's has over dosed numerous times. When he went broke guess who bailed him out .jay z
Lil wayne is firstly a drug addict. He cant remember his lines whenever he performs. He is a great rapper but a terrible performer. This is not a back yard party in Orleans this is the superbowl.
Just a hot mess him and birdman let's just say it Kendrick is a philosophical realistic rapper he's concerned about his people and their state of existence.....and lil Wayne 👀👀👀
This video had me in tears! When you started speaking on the mocking, slandering etc while on this journey, because my God this journey is ROUGH!! I should have been lost my mind BUT GOD!!!
Why do people think its disrespecting wayne because he wasnt picked for new orleans? Do artists in the city theyre performing the superbowl in usually come from that city?
Dre and snoop got to performed in LA, but then again they put the LA rap scene on the map, Wayne didn’t put New Orleans rap scene on the map that was all MASTER P.
@@elijahhill6602 Because during Master P’s time the NFL didn’t truly allowed rappers to performed in the Super Bowl and Master P didn’t truly become as well known as Snoop and Dre.
I’m a Wayne fanatic since 13 yrs old. I have seen him put on amazing performances. But Wayne if you want it, and they give it to you, give the gossip and glory performances you gave back in the day. All the yelling and anxiousness during the performances ain’t gone out you there! You know what u got to do and your fans would love to see you make it there! Give 10000 percent like any other time
Lemme put u on game....when lil wayne was out here over dosing on drugs ....behind in taxes and couldn't put one foot infront of tje other..GUESS WHO BAILED HIM OUT....HOV!! Jay z!!! And it was for millioms!!!!! Lil wayyne definitely was for the people but after years of drug abuse he's def not the role model we need on stage.....its a role models position. He dont even know the words to his own songs for christ sakes.
@@neighborhoodkayoung money was more successful let's be honest Wayne was the biggest rapper in the world Drake was the biggest rapper in the world for awhile Nicki Minaj was the biggest female rapper in the world Wayne made them all millionaires as well
@@dontrah1838 It’s not a competition. She said Jay Z is stingy. I’m not even talking about the artists he put on. All his close personal friends are millionaires because of him. And he made sure Wayne was good after Wayne got robbed by his “daddy” where was Drake and Nicki then?
I wish I could post this on every thread about the the situation but this the perfect time for Wayne to say we're having a Hotboyz reunion after the Superbowl for doing him like that that's the home of the Hotboyz!
The higher ups saw that his live performance has dropped off in the last decade, and a lot of his hits aren't family friendly, it is a family show after all.
if Kendrick wants to kill half time show he better bring lil Wayne. fans will be waiting for the Suprise performance and if you really want to tear roof off bring hot boys juvenile "back that thing up"
Someone right now, put together 12 mins of lil wayne music that makes sense on the Super Bowl halftime stage. I’m getting a lil tired of hearing that it’s the biggest travesty for NOLA that Wayne won’t be headlining. Are we supposed to listen to the entirety of a mili and 6 foot 7 foot on repeat lol. I love Wayne, but he’s just not a “Super Bowl artist”. Only real chance it happens imo is if you do a full ymcm reunion w drake and nicki. Not sure either of them wanna share the spotlight like that either
@JayMor-is3nh I get that she was pregnant and couldn’t perform well, but you literally could not find a better artist from this generation for the Super Bowl stage than Rihanna. Perfect discog for it. But I’m not even saying Kendrick is perfect for it either. It’s an alright selection. It makes some sense. Lil wayne makes just about zero sense for this. Just shocked how many people apparently think it was Wayne’s to lose
I could see 6 Foot 7 foot, Mr. Carter, his Swagger like Us & Forever verses, Go DJ, Hustler Muzik, Uproar and A Milli being like a solid family friendly lineup you could stretch to 12 minutes.
People are not understanding someone having hits with someone being able to perform a live show that millions are tuning into. There is only a few artists that are doing that right now. Anyone who has seen Kendrick perform would get it. He puts on a show. It's not just his songs.
Go watch this original video and look at the comments. A lot of people agreed with this and wanted this. Somehow within the last week the narrative changed.
No hate against K Dot BUT That just wasn't the right pick for the city of New Orleans. Wayne has had the same musical drive and commitment since the age of 12 and I've watched him grow up to be where he's at today. That's the music business snubbing for ya. Geeez.
Let's remember Jay-Z supposedly helped lil Wayne funds wise years back,I guess Jay-Z felt entitled.and probably sees Wayne as fading.kendricks joint is busting but Kendrick is not better than Wayne and am sure he would agree.its just sad
You know what is crazy Jay helped Wayne in so many ways esp with his Tax problems. What did Birdman do. If its not bothering Wayne why should it bother yall . For real its business and numbers plus I have a strong feeling Wayne will be there
Kendrick has the mass appeal right now. And will have the people talking for a few weeks after the show..If you're not in denial you'll see it's a great choice
Y'all know Wayne coming out right? It's all those other ninjas who are only well known in the south master p lil Romeo and them they ain't getting invited
Just so you know, this man freestyles all of his songs. On top of that, he records hella songs on a regular basis. I seen an interview where he said he recorded 50 songs in a day. He probably still wouldn't be able to remember his lyrics, even if he wrote them down. And besides, these shows are rehearsed ahead of time, so he would be able to pick the songs he's going to perform, and memorize the lyrics before hand, which is what he usually does. So him not remembering his lyrics is irrelevant!
I saw this man perform at the La coliseum for years ago and he brought out wiz, game, glorilla before she blew up and ty dolla etc buncha artists came out to give him love in LA.this is crazy
@@genohill9453He would obviously rehearse before the show. Its not like he walks in and they pick 3 random songs and he goes “Dang it! Cant remember the lyrics”
You should stop listening to rap then lol there's a reason he was on 77 billboard hits in one year bro . Go listen to c3 sessions and just clean uo and listen to prime wayne .
A few points: 1. Its rare for artists from the town hosting the Superbowl to actually perform there. There's a long history of this and so this isn't exclusive to Wayne. Should we be mad every time this happens? 2. Wayne has a long history of not fulfilling contractual obligations, even walking out when he was supposed to be the closing act for BEYONCE...why host someone so unreliable? 3. Superbowl is very much about PR and reputation. Who makes the city look better: pro-black, energetic, and progressive Kendrick or drugged out, slurring, offensive Wayne?
Im sorry, but nobody would have picked kendrick before the drake shit happend. If it wasn't for that keeping him relevant, then i dont think they would've considered him. But thats just me and this is coming from a fan of both. Wayne is my #1 favorite rapper tho.
Look at his face. Look at his hair. Look at his recent performances. Look at his lyrics. Look at him repping a gang in his 40s. Why would hip hop want that to represent them on a national stage?
What is wayne going to rap about? Him being a pimp and talking about how much he eating pu**y. Bro, Wayne's songs are just not something to listen to on national tv
" they not like us" is a great sum of of Wayne as a person and celebrity. Remember the 2016 BLM comments he made saying he can't relate to black people and saying he has never dealt with racism?
I've never understood the fascination with Lil Wayne. To me there was a time when the industry put him on everything that came out musically in rap and acted like no other artists were available or better, like they did in comedy with Kevin Hart but that doesn't make you the best or a Goat, just the most promoted. All his songs sound alike, his voice is annoying and most of the time no one knows exactly wtf he's even talking about and some people actually claim he's better than rappers like Nas, Jay Z and Tupac. I'm from the south myself and I actually liked Wayne's music better when he was a kid with the Hotboys. Scarface is the best rapper who came out the south period and Lil Wayne ain't even better than Boosie or Kevin Gates if you wanna talk about Louisiana. That's who should be performing in New Orleans for the Superbowl, them or Master P and No Limit in my opinion.
@@genohill9453someone with more hit songs and more of a og or known. Lil Wayne, Post Malone, Kanye, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheran, idk. Feel like lil wayne would be perfect. Hasn’t performed yet, from New Orleans, is a og and last chances before hes old. Mainstream.
I love Wayne down but even in his prime & performing at awards shows, the performance outside of it being mf lil Wayne was not exciting. Kendrick puts on a production! They literally scrubbed the internet of his 2016 Grammy performance bc it was that deep! Him not being chosen has NOTHING to with talent & takes nothing away from it. It’s mass appeal & Wayne doesn’t have that. I have older family 60+ who know Kendrick songs. I have nephews who know Kendrick songs. Meanwhile 60+ know Wayne name but not his music, they know the controversy though. (And this is before all the Drake beef for context) From a business standpoint, Kendrick is the right option like it or hate it. We should be congratulating him but he can’t even have the moment. And yes Wayne has classics & plenty songs BUT it has to be clean versions, family friendly and the message of the song can’t be promoting certain things. What songs can Wayne perform with those classifications in mind?
Why do yall keep saying this? Legends more than likely have a readily identifiable catalog and are probably household names. Beyoncé wasn’t 20 when she did it, J Lo/Shakira were older, Dr. Dre/Snoop, the thing is they are all legendary status and so is Wayne so it made since. It’s some 45+ year old white/asian/Indian etc. people that don’t know Kendrick’s music like that, those same people more than likely have heard and liked a few Wayne songs especially from 10 years ago when they were younger themselves. Nobody’s grandma knows “King Kunta” or remembers the Black Panther soundtrack. They do know Lollipop, Go DJ or Back That Thang Up, Make it Rain, How to Love, A Millie, etc though. Not to mention all the others that he could’ve brought out that not only represents New Orleans but also southern hip hop culture or the rich historical musical contributions of New Orleans jazz to honor to 20 year anniversary of Katrina idk but all that makes more sense than Kendrick doing it…. Again.
It needs to be said when you fell off as hard as Wayne did he hasn't made a dope album in over a decade meanwhile Kendrick Lamar had the first diss track of the century to blow up At a billboard no 1
@@_truthBtoldthe older people in my life genuinely don’t know Wayne music. They know dna, swimming pools, loyalty, humble, for sure though. Even if it is just the chorus most times lol. They know who Wayne is but know the controversy of him more than the talent 🤷🏽♀️ Commercially? Kendrick is the better option. He just had all the gangs in LA united on one stage together for goodness sake. I get being disappointed a fav didn’t get picked but we have to look at the optics of Wayne performing at the superbowl that means they align with his views, that means they lose ads & people not watching, which means they lose revenue. It’s business. Kendrick probably was always gone have him come out bc of the songs they have together but he can’t even get a chance before being put down
Lil Wayne Might Still Come On Stage. But I Agree He Should Not Perform. Why ? Because He Is Not Exclusive ! Bro Wayne On Everybody Song Till This Day .. & He Dont Have Anthems Or Real Mega Hits.
Was this before or after he went on national TV to say racism doesn't exist anymore? 🧐 Orrr maybe it was right after he was asked about BLM and all he had to say was that his life matter to his b*tches and started waving around his gang flag😂
Ummm idk man but I gotta feelin kendrick gon bring him out for hopefully mona lisa..this would be absolutely legendary. Wayne said he has trouble remembering the song but best believe if it came to the super bowl he gon remember that song 😂nahh fr tho this needs to happen.
I will never in my life care about trying to get some rich ass celebrity a job to perform at the Super Bowl. he gotta fight this on his own, it's not us.
