Its age. Kids have tons of tastebuds. Gives depth to flavors. You start losing tastebuds around 16-20. So your tastes change. You start liking coffee and darker chocolate. Vegetables n stuff. You try something from your childhood and its just not the same as you remember. But thats not true. Your *tongue* isn't like how you remember. The sad truth is, we will *never* enjoy the food from our childhoods again. Even if we had a time machine.

I relate to the whole thing with loving something then growing out of it. I used to love the strawberry swirl cakes (kinda like swiss roles, but with strawberry filling), but now if I eat them I can literally feel my teeth falling apart and my stomach going "You're not 20 anymore, you are making poor life decisions". I *DO* still like cosmic brownies though, but I think my favorite is devil cremes, even though I haven't had one in like a decade. Speaking of old snacks, does anyone else remember moonpies? THAT was my favorite snack of all time, and I *still* like them, but they are so hard to find edit: oh. Damn. George brought them up :P Edit 2: wow, you never heard of them? They are really good...like when you're younger, but now its like you ate a candy store all at once.

Yes! I wonder if our gut just "matures" as we age, we get more sensitive, or something else... I loved devil cremes! It's been a while since I had moon pies, I think I enjoyed the banana flavored ones. It might be time to taste test childhood cookies I don't remember anymore. Who knows... maybe I'll enjoy something again! Yeah, never heard of them, but I might try them now...

I certainly began enjoying all that sugar coated stuff way less as I grew older. I also began eating a lot more different kinds of vegetable compared to when I was a kid and it wasn't like I was ever forced to eat vegetables. One day I just started completely on my own. Guess it really is an age thing. One exception is chocolate, I still enjoy it just as much.

Nutty Bars, Zebra Cakes, and Peanut butter creampies are my favorites :) I grew out of Little Debbie for a while, but then I started doing deliveries for them, so you end up just keeping anything past the sell by date as a snack rather than throwing it out

I used to enjoy the cosmic brownies, usually by eating the candies on top first than the brownie afterwards. But as time went on, the taste of the brownie ended up becoming a bit underwhelming to the point where it doesn't even taste like chocolate anymore. The colorful candies on top are pretty much the best part about it, both in taste and look.

Lol I was just watching some of these and saw this pop up. I highly recommend Heavy Metal Salsa's Presidents Go to Hogwarts videos, and Dalton Bantz's AI President ones, because the latter actually has them more friendly and wholesome but it's still hilarious. His recent one has them start up an ice cream truck business. On the topic of snacks, I loved the cosmic brownies as a kid. I ate them every day after school while watching 4Kids. I don't quite like them now (I swear they changed the recipe), but they hold a special place in my heart.
