I was convinced by people in my life at the time to have an abortion as an older teen. I felt horrible before and after. I knew in my heart it was wrong but unfortunately I still went through with it. I started drinking and trying to hurt myself for years after. It’s been over 20 years and I still think about it every day. I’ll regret that day for the rest of my life. I’m thankful for the people fighting for life.
I can honestly say I do know exactly how you feel. It's become a roller coaster in my life along with addiction that is always right at the edge waiting for me to cave. @Morgan Not if they are pregnant due to rape or incest. There is so way a women should have to carry on with the pregnancy in those circumstances. And even if the women did have unprotected sex that still doesn’t change the fact she is being unwillingly forced to go through pregnancy and labour and then be stuck with a baby.

Instead of reasonable, calm, Christ-like, and classy explanations, so many in the group just got all emotional, accusing, judgmental, almost as toxic with their replies as the pro-choice women had been in this debate. So to those who said that ALL the pro-lifers are classy and calm… I beg to disagree… try to visit Live Action and pose this kind of question, and see them practically ‘snarl’ without even fully knowing the whole gist of your question, or even your stance in the issue for that matter.

I'm not prolife. It would be a stretch to call me pro-choice, but I am not pro life. I can't stand how abortion has been placed as a pillar of women's rights. I get medical reasons for abortion. Including IVF. However, under every abortion, there's a tragedy. Whether it be a couple who can't conceive naturally and so has to go this way, a child who is not viable, or just a young woman who was scared and everyone, she placed trust in convinced her it was for the best. It all stemmed from an inherent tragedy. Tragedy is not where I want to put as a pillar of anyone's human rights.
Sometimes a girl/woman just isn't ready/able to, carry, give birth to, or parent a child, no matter how much truth or care is offered. She should then be allowed to choose within the bounds of certain restrictions whether to have an abortion or not. You cannot force unplanned or immoral pregnancy on another human being's unready soul! She is saying that there are lots of help that women can have AFTER the birth but what if they just dont want to be pregnant? We often forget how harmful pregnancy can be mentally and physically. And once again, the feotus isn't a child, it doesn't have a brain, a heart, it doesn't have couciousness it is not yet alive, so there is no killing possible, since there is no life.

Simple question as to when life starts. Is a single cell amoeba or bacteria alive. The answer is unequivocally yes. Human life starts as soon as the 23 chromosomes from each parent are joined and uniqueness created.
What about women who end up carrying unviable, underdeveloped babies that won't survive outside the womb. Women who go through these type of pregnancies will most likely have to abort the child because it's making them sick and their life is at risk. Women shouldnt have to carry a dead fetus in their womb until the doctors get approval to medically intervene thats crazy.
Im pro life. Even though my emotions feel like the death sentence is called for in heinous crimes, we are not GOD and dont get to decide who lives or dies. Coroner has to classify an execution from death sentence as a murder, and do the autopsy as such. That ought to tell you something right there.
