I agree on the Dio song recommendations. Dio is one of Melody’s idols and she does his songs justice. Wendy Dio, Ronnies wife, said this about them, “I found a young family called LILAC, and they do a fantastic rendition of 'Rainbow In The Dark'. I don't know if you've heard it. It's great.” Can’t get much of a better endorsement than that. 😊
I've always been a Ronnie James Dio fan! My parents were hippies. They loved what's called, Classic Rock. But everyone knows without kids like this, Rock would be dead!
I saw them live in Pittsburgh last Monday 9/15....Just mind blowing! An experience worth going to see! They did Crazy Train & whole place was rocking!👊😃 The lead guitarist Sam is just amazing!
I've been watching these kids since they were much younger than they are now. You wanna talk about some off the hook talent! There are some adult rock stars out there that would have one heck of a hard time keeping up with any of these kids. Talent, youthful look, great hair, and did I mention talent? I wish this family of rock stars all the best.
Dad loaded these guys in the van every weekend and took them to the pier for years playing for the public. Glad to see it is finally paying off for them.

Learning that Stewart Copeland is the headbanger in the suit and sunglasses was new knowledge to me from the comments. He stalked them from a distance disguised and filming them for a while. All while sending his videos to major bands and drummers without them knowing it. So cool to learn He was in their killer breakout video. Joyfully obcessed here. They are Rock Heaven with devils {👿} horns on stage.

This was the video that gave him notoriety, filmed back when they performed on weekends at the Santa Monica pier. It's a good representation of their humble beginnings. Now they're beginning to do their own stuff and they have quite a bit of experience and a long bright future ahead of them because they are incredibly young. Now they can try to find their sound, their personal style and the genre or sub-genre they like the most. They can stick with power metal, they can try prog and symphonic, they can try goth, they can try death metal...or even turn into a pop or pop rock band after a few years (I hope not) . Whatever they do they're gonna be great at it because they have undeniable talent and they put on the work. Talent and work usually mean success.
Omg I haven’t seen this like in three years or so, if anyone does awesome covers it is Liliac. I have three favorite drummers Liliac, The Warning and Lovebites. These kids were regulars at this pier doing their jam sessions
Yep they were street busking to pay the Bill's. Their mom saw me and figured out I was hungry and fed my scrawny ass. They're the best bunch all around.
Melody (the singer) wanted to do rock and metal music after hearing Ronnie James Dio. So if you want to hear her pour her entire being into a cover, check out "Holy Diver" or "Rainbow in the Dark." The latter is my personal favorite.
Thanks for sharing. I am a child of the late 50's and grow up with all genres of music. I show LILIAC on FB and immediately fell in love with them. I have never seen a family band this great. I am now 63 years old and still love Rock and Roll, Heavy Metal mostly. When driving in my car when I hear something like these songs, I can help but turn my sound all the way up. It help with my driving and keeps me focused, believe it or not. I am enjoying the music so much that I don't have time for stupid people on the road. I got more in common with Suzie and Travis then i was aware of. Because Abigail beating on the drums like they offended her brothers and sister,easily became my favourite too. But i cant help but enjoy the melodies that Melody brings to the microphone either.😏 And lately i have seen Melody all grown up in theyr latest original video. She looks......dangerously attractice for her age. It allmost spooks me abit😳😨💞Samuel has also impressed me alot as a guitarist over the few years i have been introduced to them now,and watched theyr videos. Even a few live performances. It speaks volume to Melody,allready as just a teenager she has been invited up on stage by far more experienced bands. Thats when you know you have something special going. I can see theese teenagers go far,if the 2 youngest ones never lose interest in the band or music. If anything,i believe the 3 oldest will stick together for quite some time,and if it comes to such a situation,get in new members. (But so far it seems like they all just enjoy being Liliac together) The video i was refering to regarding Melody is Liliac - Crazy Nights. She uhm......i cannot talk😳😅Ok BYE! Totally agree with all you said. I think Abigail is just the coolest freaking drummer to watch and has so much stage presence. She just loves every moment up there and always gives it her all. They all do. Now with the double bass drum setup she has she's even more impressive as a drummer. Ethan is the underrated member of Liliac right now. That boy can play guitar. I'm sure you've seen him, but if not watch his lead solo in Trooper. For his age that was awesome. I hope he's still practicing because he deserves to be noticed as he grows. Bass players rarely get the accolades they deserve. But I can tell his really a guitar player who gave one up for the team to let Melody be a front person without the worries of playing an instrument while singing and moving around. When Stewart Copeland of the Police comes to watch you play and video tapes you, that's when you know he's impressed with Abigail's as a drummer. He ain't so bad on drums himself. lol.

I think you are referring to the dark haired one,that i tend to call "Gene Simmons as a kid". He blew my mind in Crazy Nights btw,he has changed a ton since the last video i saw! Trooper sounds familiar for sure,but ill probably re-watch it anyway,just to have a "refreshed memory".

Love your love for Liliac! I’m 72 and it’s still hard to believe that Black Sabbath’s Crazy Train, was their debut single and released in the U.S. around my 31st birthday in May 1981! OMG! I just listened to their version and the Liliac’s and I actually prefer Lilia. They are that good. My parents loved the Blues and Jazz and had many albums of the GREATS while my 9yr older brother loved Rock & Roll so I grew up with music. My brother’s best friend in high school was Larry Hall. He was a One Hit Wonder in 1959 with his song Sandy and he was on American Bandstand twice. You can find Sandy and other songs of Larry’s on RU-vid. So I grew up with music and I know talent when I hear it.
ABBY is so so powerful on those poor drums, kind feel sorry for her drum kit. She an AWESOME drummer for the time she has been playing them,which is not that long. She is just a natural talented young lady, as are all the whole darn family...lol!!!And great reaction as always by you guys...Thanks!!

You've got to check out an original. It's named, "Sail Away." You'd never expect this from such a young musical group. I'm a freaking Marine. This song brought tears to my eyes!! It's An amazing song!
I found these young adults and kids (now) a few months ago and they are not afraid to take on the Big Acts. A few tunes if you haven't heard them from this group year 2020 live on tour "Crazy Train" it's 4 minutes and 338 sec. long, how about Chain of Thorns (Orignal), or live opening for Loverboy, they also have a video where they were on" Extra" and you said you'd love to meet their parents there is a video that has the band members and Mom and Dad. Their father is a sound producer. Have you heard their version of Holly Diver, and if (I'm sure you know this) you do a search in u tube (Lillaic) you'll find all those video I just mentioned and more. Wanna hear something weird, they were no longer allowed to preform at the Santa Monica Pier (where this was shot) because they attracted too big of a crowd. Something else about this video, about 4 months ago it was taken off of UTube by the the music creators. Not by Ozzie, but by the company that owns the rights to the song that is owned by Sharon Osborne. It had already had a few million views. It came back on UTube about a month ago. Keep Rockin
I love seeing Ethan rocking an Angus Young hat here, even before he stepped up into The Bassist for the group. Especially on something as iconic as Crazy Train, it just fits. (And yes, of course I fucking know the original isn't AC/DC, I'm recognizing how well Liliac tie their 70s/80s vibe to a 70s/80s ethos.)
Liliac is definitely the greatest. But there is another band like Liliac on RU-vid you should check out Motion Device. She covers a lot of Sabbath, Ozzy and Ronnie James. They have some original songs as well
Just like the Original, the drummer here (Abigail) is the real star, as Lee Kerslake was. Lee is very hard to duplicate, now to be fair, he never really had to work at it with Ozzy, as compared to the complex runs, etc he did with early Uriah Heep, but still without him, Crazy Train would never of become the monster it did.
