This clip is from TV program Drop In from 1963, not Melodifestivalen! There was no Melodifestival in Sweden 1964 The tryouts were canceled because during the time of the contribution tryouts was an artist strike in Sweden!

All the info here is wrong! The performance is NOT from melodifestivalen at all - it is from "Drop In", the SVT show programme at the time. The artists were Lill-Babs, Doris, Boris and The Beatles. The show was broadcast in 1963, not 1964.

Tror hon gjorde den svenska versionen av my party av Lesley Gore. Tror Janne är Johnny i Lesleys version. Dock vet inte, bara min teori :P

I'm in love with Swedish language. Is it easier to learn Swedish if you speak German? I see some similarities but I'm not sure wheter it's only my mistaken impression.

@jogighopa yes i would say it's a bit easier. many nouns and verbs have the same characteristics to them. like natürlich = naturligtvis, gut = gott, wie = vi, du hast = du har and it goes on and on

The Swedish language sounds hilarious

This version is plagued by speed problems, it bothers my ears. It was recorded on the same "Drop In" program that featured that unknown group from England. "The Beatles" who asked her for her autograph. I'm giving it a dislikew, while I like the other version better.

@Hammerik Det är tur att smaken varierar. Jag håller med dig om att både orkestern och Gals & Pals var bra men Lill-Babs var också bra - för mig.

Swedish is a horrible language.. English is the shit
