It's so frustrating that's theirs singers out there who are A-List stars who can barley hit a single note and someone with a voice like hers is just forgotten.
She is the purest form of soul you can find nowadays and even for a moment just to sit there and witness this unbelievable entity pour her soul out to this classical peice of art would be an extreme honor and privilege. I hope the audience and those judges to this day realise just how lucky they were to see it.
I'm surprised no one whose comments I've read has picked up on how much Lillie resembles Diana Ross - except with some meat on her bones. I'm surprised I haven't picked up on it before. Probably because Lillie so often has that Whitney Houston smile going on. But as a singer, she reminds me of none of the people you've mentioned, Veronica, although of course you are complimenting Lillie which she certainly deserves, so it doesn't matter who Lillie sings like. I just want to keep hearing her sing.
Robert Eller I can also agree with the Diana resemblance. I think her voice is uniquely soulful but also classic. Hence the reason I said that she sounds like a "cross between" the three that I mentioned, not exactly like either one singularly. I too agree that I want her to keep singing.
I'm revisiting all her Xfactor performances and she is just CRAZY good. So genuine and incredible; her skills, expressiveness, poise, originality in that her stylings are so natural and doesn't seem contrived like a lot of other singers with good voices just adding them in to embellish songs. Lilie's embellishments really come together with meaning and emotion and adds to the wonderful melody of the song and gives us these magical moments that we can connect to and enjoy.
now THIS is a true diva! I hope she get's signed and makes more music. Lilly will always have the X Factor, and doesn't need a competition show to validate her gift!
She is too wonderful for this show to ever realize her talents. There should be way more views and likes. For a woman any age and especially her age. *Take your bow" you deserve it
Ms. McCloud, 'you did' Percy Sledge Proud and all of the great songs of Artists you cover - i only tape Commercial TV & watch the parts I care to - I am so happy I did not miss that gift of a voice or the presence of you... you literally captivate the audience, no one wants to miss a note or your passion & shine in performing - Anyone who missed this beauty's other performances just scroll down or search her catalog of songs as each one is unique, special in itself - thank you for returning to public after all of these years
I had the pleasure of playing with Lillie(Nicole) from 1990-97 .Show has always been amazing and a true on-the-spot show-person. She is in my opinion, over qualified for this contest, but she will certainly gain the recognition she has earned!
her best performance for me was "A woman´s worth" on the "British invasion" night. I guess "goose bumps" are in the eye of the beholder, however Lillie can no doubt sing..different opinons are to be expected I guess.
Actually she is google NICOLE MCLOUD she has had a few hits and never should have been on the X Factor because she is already a well known recording artist. Check out her song Don't You Want My Love
Miss McCloud, your voice is like listening to a dream. You hold such sincerity and a sweet power in your core that rings out through your voice. Love your performances...waiting deliriously for your album! Yes...ALBUM. You have that classic voice I want to hear unrefined on the crackle of vinyl.
