I grew up watching a russian series calle "кухня", it translates into kitchen. My family and I used to sit on the couch and binge-watch this series. Even though it's a comedy series, I think it shows alot of things that happen in life; love, death, friendships, divorce, pain and happiness. This was the soundtrack to кухня. When I hear it, i feel like i'm seeing an old friend. Great memories ❤
This song gives me a strange feeling of broken love, the apocalypse, living life and a deep and neverending sadness. I love it much more than the fastened up version, because it is real. Thank you Lilly Wood to bring this to our world!!
I think the remix made this song more marketable, and it's good if your're looking for that type of vibe, but I really think it took away from the feel of this song.
+Kevin O'Connell Instead I think that the remix has its own feeling, similar but different :) This gives me something natural, I don't know how to explain, the remix instead gives me goosebumps :))
+Kevin O'Connell Agreed 1000 times, especially since the remix song has been raped and taken hostage by a big supermarket company here in France (we hear it about 20 times a day on TV or radio). Also, reading people desperately needing for speeding up this version to 1.25x or 1.5x makes me incredibly sad.
Yeah the song is supposed to be sad, the lyrics are not happy clappy, and the remix sounds like a light meaningless song. It has helped them surface though so that's good.
@@adn2732 2014: nice song lemme add it to my playlist 2015: *new account* shit I forgot the name 2020: *finally found* you're still as beautiful as the day I lost you
Эхх... Те времена когда был только 1 сезон и ты его успел 5 раз пересмотреть и ждал пока выйдет 2 сезон это просто лучший сериал детства. Особенно было кайфово смотреть его когда на улице шел дождь
Yeah, you never said a word You didn't send me no letter Don't think I could forgive you See our world is slowly dying I'm not wasting no more time Don't think I could believe you Yeah, our hands will get more wrinkled And our hair will be grey Don't think I could forgive you And see the children are starving And their houses were destroyed Don't think they could forgive you Hey, when seas will cover lands And when men will be no more Don't think you can forgive you Yeah when there'll just be silence And when life will be over Don't think you will forgive you
This song is really deep. She's talking to/about God and how he just sits there and let's kids starve and people suffer and how she can't forgive him for doing nothing.
I knew it! Seems a lot of folks are missing the point, intentionally or otherwise. Its pretty obvious to me, who also has the same beliefs, except for me there's nothing to forgive as there is no God (my belief). I'm not used to hearing atheistic songs in this form, it's quite pretty. If you want to hear more atheist songs I'd recommend getting into the metal genre as there's many in there, there's a lot that aren't Satanist either, just atheist
I think that god has his good reason to act in the way he does. Humanity is wicked and evil very evily eyed. We deserve it. Maybe you will understand it one day.
+BohemianNerdGirl Existential crisis? I don't think they're questioning whether their own lives have any value or purpose. This is them telling god specifically that they don't forgive him for abandoning us, that even "he" won't forgive "himself" for abandoning us. It speaks nothing about how they feel about their own existence.
I really like the flute part in this song. Does anyone know any other flute infused songs? Prolly similar to this, not fast paced & each note is audible.
+Holacom All the lyrics are left in, and the song still has the same feel. I'd say it changes nothing except for the fact it's a little faster paced and easier to dance to.
+Arthur Holanda lol I wish I could send you a screenshot, the comment below this one is someone bitching about the remix and saying he loves this one XD
I'm pretty sure this is actually in the C major key. Notice how the whole thing is built around C as the tonic note, and the CG fifth is a prevalent chord.
I was rewatching ,,kukhnya” and suddenly found out this song and my childhood popped out in my brain, this song hits different, it remembers me childhood and now I grow up and heard lyrics, it got even better
I've only heard the remix and this JUST popped onto my pandora and I am so very happy it did because I may have never had a chance to actually enjoy this song. This is SO much better, my goodness.
Sorry for my english, but : Not being a hipster or anything, I really find this version much better, here's why : Even though I really love all kinds of electro, Robin Shulz had to delete one of the most important note, because he wanted to repeat the same melody over and over again, to make the tune more dynamic. So the conclusive note is always deleted while you can hear it 5-6 times in the original, especially during the flute parts. Also, all the flute parts are (of course) deleted, while the ending with one high pitched and another normal flute was for me the best part by far. This note and these flutes were what gave that "sad ending" feeling that has disappeared in the remix. And I get why people don't like the original, because they think it's the guitar melody that's supposed to be good, while I think it's the flute. So, to all the new people on here saying it's just the same in slower, try to be a bit more careful, and wait for the flute, because it DOESN'T look like the remix, it gives different feelings, I swear it's a different tune. You expect it too much to look like the remix in my opinion.
While it's your prerogative to like whichever version you like, I actually enjoy both. This one for its playability and soothing feel, and the remixed version for it upbeat and "cheery" feel. I like the flutes in this one, really calms the nerves :)
This song is so much more beautiful when it's slow. It makes the meaning of the words more fantastic and interestingly sorrowful. All you people that like the remix version are corrupt to society and fall into the placement of liking a song only for it's beat and rhythm. A song should be more than that, the main meaning is in its lyrics. Where the writers soul and heart is poured out into a musical tone. Don't be so narcissistic about slow sorrowful music, it is beautiful, and worthy of its original meaning that is hidden in the song.
The attraction or value of a song, being an art form, is absolutely subjective. You have no grounds to declare an entire class of people as corrupt to society just for liking a different version of a song. I think the original is more meaningful and true, but I like the remix better because it is pleasing to my ear.
I'm just trying to point out that when a song becomes popular in some sense, they even remix it so that it falls into a different bpm and I just don't like how we have to remix things to become more appealing when we have someone else's art right in front of us. I like remixes, but I wish the original would gain more credit.
i personally like the original version better because with the remix, you can only enjoy the sound of it and not the deeper meaning. absolutely stunning.
Old comment, I know, but I think this song was awesome as-is, Robin Schulz just made it awesome in a different way. This song has the vibe of someone who is still desperately hoping for an answer from their god, who really wants to still believe. The remix, I think, changes the perspective and represents a person who is saying all this rhetorically because they're decidedly done believing in such a cruel and merciless god. Almost like a sequel to the original song.
@@MentosCubing jeez man, 6 years ago. What the hell was I doing 6 years ago? Fighting in a war... Opening a business.... Trading stocks?... Buying my 1st Tesla........ I think 🤔.
The original version is so beautiful I discovered it long after the remix one and I love it even more Learning how to play it with a friend we're having lots of fun 😂
I just remember this song randomly. It has such a soft sad delivery and tone but the words are so angry. Think how many millions of people, both living and dead, must've had such a relationship with the idea of God. Damn.
Love this song. The lyrics, her tone, and the music all reflect abandonment. I don't know if she's rejecting god, or is lamenting the fact that god is dead and horrible things happen all the time.
Dave N He doesn't mean it literally. But human beings definitely invented the idea of a god to suit their need for a higher purpose. An actual real god obviously doesn't exist. Have a great day. ;)
Thank you for doing this, for posting this and for your adding the story, this history, of this song I've for months only known in its most recent version. Enlightening.
