Yess...not even Susan. Remember when reacting on ponys skinecare video susan really cringe when pony use her cleansing brush on her eyelids to remove makeup and susan was the first influence who teach me that you should not use brushses ,scrubs on eyelids.

the cetaphil cleanser she used (the one for normal to oily skin) gave me the squeaky clean feeling! i used it for like 6 years before learning thats not how your face should feel lol

I’ve never had cetaphil actually remove my makeup, it’s waaaay too gentle to be effective as a one step cleanser to get makeup off also

The key is to apply it onto dry skin first, to remove the makeup/SPF! Then, emulsify with water and cleanse again.

@@nicholaswhite2861 for my skin, it is one of the only cleansers that doesn’t burn my skin when using it. It all depends on your preference! Not everyone’s skin will agree with it, but some do.

I have been struggling with melasma above the lip for many years. I wear sunscreen religiously, but the upper lip area tends to sweat and I think this reduces sun protection. However, and it was a very pleasant surprise, wearing a face mask since Covid-19 began has helped so much. The hyperpigmentation is almost gone completely. Just wanted to share. Thank you for your videos!

Cetaphil is better for more sensitive skin types and CeraVe is better for drier skin types. I love both but they are meant for different skin types.

I was really glad to hear Susan not attack her for her use of the peppermint halo essential oil. When other skincare RU-vidrs take a really harsh stance on essential oils in any capacity it feels a little ableist to me as lots of people with chronic pain use them to feel better.

@HI HEY HELLO for me I have to put a bit on my temples and the back of my neck for them to help me but everyone copes with their pain differently. If it doesn’t work for sensitive skin that’s perfectly okay too, everyone needs to find what works for themselves and what helps them feel better. What I find ableist is that some people totally disregard and bash people for using essential oils at all without considering why they might be using them in the first place. I don’t think they mean to ableist but that kind of thinking does negatively affect people with chronic pain or disabilities just trying to feel a little better

well i think ableist is something pretty strong and i would never think that something like that is ableist. i mean i have chronic pain and an essential oil is no treatment and therefor not connected to chronic pain. sure every person deals with it differently but then again u can say having a pet helps someone and being against having pets is ableist. so maybe ignorant for the reasoning but not more

@@mervekilic3624 my mum has debilitating migraines. Takes medication etc but swears that peppermint helps. People having super harsh reaction to these kinds of things is imo as discriminating as somebody speaking out against any other treatments people use to manage their conditions...

Propolis is a byproduct. Bees don't like when anything goes to waste so if there is any crack or hole inside a structure of a beehive, they fill it with what we called propolis. It's great for the immune system. I also use it every day. My grandpa was a beekeeper so I learned a whole lot about bees.

New people are born every single day and, like it or not, other artists become more relevant with time. Phil Collins isn’t exactly popping right now so obviously fewer and fewer youngsters become familiar with him and other “vintage” artists with time. There’s nothing sad about it, it’s just life. Hi Susan! I know that you suffer from hypothyroidism and understand some of the skin issues that come with it. I just found out that I have both hashimotos hypothyroidism, as well as Celiac disease. Can we use vitamin c in the morning after an acid serum? I have a serum that has a mixture of hyaluronic acid, glycolic, mandelic, salicylic, tartaric, lactic, and pyruvic acid. Will it interfere with the vitamin c in any way?

Yes you can. My dermatologist told me that AHA or BHA enhance the penetration of vitamin c and the chem exfoliant also lower your skin’s pH level and vitamin c works best on lower pH level.

Wow I did not know she even had makeup on, girl could definitely use a cleansing oil/balm The Genifique serum is really popular with Taiwanese RU-vidrs, they all say it helps your skin absorb product better + moisturize. I bought it but I don't see it making a difference lol

I’m a big no to the Cetaphil cleanser. I have an allergy to SLS - it causes the edges of my eyes to go dry, cracked and then bleed. I didn’t realise it was this ingredient till I realised it was in both this and an acne cream I was prescribed when I was younger. I had to stop using that and switch to a different one because of this.

She has some wrinkles in Emily in Paris you can see that, and it's good because she doesn't have botox (she can move her face, it's expressive) but I don't understand why they suddenly disappear in photos and videos you see online? Are all photos retouched? Even the red carpet ones?

Sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates *wreck* my skin because of an allergy/sensitivity and I get triggered whenever I see it, lmao. I really hate it so much though and it's really **everywhere** and a challenge to find non sls options when you're a skincare beginner. It's a cheap surfactant in 99% of shampoos, facewash, toothpaste, etc. Also, Olefin sulfonate doesn't get a pass.

@HI HEY HELLO about +twenty years of reactions to products lol. Pretty easy to tell once you start reading ingredient lists and pay attention when something burns me. If I use a normal face wash with sls (sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates) I literally always get hives, itch and burn. Same with shampoo, and toothpaste will burn my mouth. Using cleansers without sls, I don't react. I spoke to allergists about it too, it's a chemical reaction. Not a normal allergy. But there's a fair number of people with SLS sensitivities. It's a really harsh surfactant.

I love watching your videos cuz you are well educated in a beauty industry, also the way you are reacting is so mature, compare to other youtubers. No offence but Hyram and Cassandra are just way too overreacting I guess. Everyone has different skin type and different skincare routine which works for them very well. I have been binge watching your videos and acquired many things that I do not know at all.

I adore Hyram, and I'm subscribed to Cassandra, but I'm finding her videos less and less professional. All the product juggling is distracting and there's just something about her presentation that seems immature. That said, I do appreciate the research she does into ingredients.

I really Enjoy your reviews more than Hyram's he is a tad Anal about essential oils/ Fragrance. I loved your take on the essential oil as aromatherapy, sensorial experience.

Your advice and way of explaining is really great. I care about my skin as much as my life. Because the structure of my skin is different and does not accept every product. Or rather, it doesn't work. However, I would like to point out one thing that I bought a cream called RWLMAX cream 3 months ago. It really cleared up the dry layer on my skin and the acne I was uncomfortable with in a really quick time. I really couldn't believe it. I really recommend you to try it. Because it works!

I think she may have dehydrated skin, because having tight and dry skin doesn't exactly means having 'dry skin' (I know it's kinda ironic). And I also think this was heavily sponsored as well... so we may never now what kind of skincare products she truly uses. Kinda dissapointing :/ but I still lover her tho.
