I've been watching a LOT of ice dancing over the past few months, including the ISU Junior Grand Prix events for 2023. It's becoming clear to me that one of the main jobs the man has is to be so focused on his female partner that he is in his place near her a split second before he is actually supposed to be taking her hand or initiating a lift. Nathan definitely has this skill, and I'm starting to see that when the man has that skill, you tend to want to look at both partners as a couple, instead of just focusing on the lady. I thought this was a beautiful performance. 👏
