Oh God, we're going to miss him. Lilly was comedy genius - lightening fast wit honed over years performing at the Vauxhall Tavern. And Paul was a wonderful human. So very sad for his friends and family and for us - his adoring audience.
Lilly was my first experience of drag. Watching Paul as Lilly as a kid reallt brought our family together for a right old laugh . Then I had the priveledged to meet Paul in my teens . And I had never met such a gentleman. Then all the amazing work paul did for animals in need just showed how endless his love was. The world has lost a legend . But the thing with legends is … they live FOREVER
Oh Paul what a bloody big miss your going to be. I loved that guy & always will. Hope he is having fun with all of our pets who have passed over their rainbow bridge. Sleep peacefully the one & only Paul O'Grady. 😢
Fantastic. I love Paul... totally and utterly. Not only is he amazingly funny but he is one of the best writers out there. His books are a truly great read and so damned funny. He had a colourful childhood to say the least. God bless you Paul and thanks for the years of fun.
Paul is Terrific. His love of dogs is legendary like himself and his books are a great funny and moving read. I have one with his autobiograph which I'm very proud of. Best wishes Paul from Thailand.
I’ve named my kitten Lily Savage in Paul’s honour. The night he died was my birthday and my rescue cat Milly, had 5 kittens….. the runt of the litter opened her eyes first and ate food first and basically has done everything before her siblings even though she’s a third of the size…. Her attitude is pure O’Grady and I adore the little drama queen so much. Thanks for sending Lily S to me Paul.X
I really am not sure which side of woke this is. I love it. Offend everyone, then nobody can say you are biased. Paul may have left us but Lily will live forever. RIP Paul, a true comedy genius and a kind man. A big shock to us all.
I miss Paul and Lilly. You are both sorely missed. So many tears of laughter and humanity. Who is there out there to fill the gap that he/him/she/ they/couldn't give a flying fuck that is missing from our lives. What an inspiration to us all
This is what comes of years of hard slog, paying one's dues in clubs and bars - lightning reactions and never lacking in an hilarious reposte! RIP, Paul; you'll be sorely misssed.
I knew he'd done some sort of live later night show for Carlton! I remember one edition where he half said an f-bomb by mistake during a comedic rant, then a lady walked into shot, and he said "hello, it's Carlton's lawyer, what's going on here", and she went over to him with a clipboard and showed him the list of what swears he was allowed to use, and how many of them he was permitted to use in one show. I remember him saying something like "you're allowed three bums, two willy's , four bloody's, a couple of breasts... who wrote this list?".
I was born at the same hospital as paul 20'yrs after him got all his books also he was hilarious at cilla blacks funeral which was over the rd from me even the priest was in hysterics .good down to earth sense if humour .
I’m killing myself laughing and my husband has no idea what I’m watching. I can hear the video direct from my iPad into my hearing aids, so he has no idea. 😆😆😆😆😆 I do miss Paul as Lily Savage. SOOO funny in this idiotic age.
Hard Knocks Television OMG yes. The agony aunt. That was the only reason I used to watch TBB. That and Van Outen’s Pat Butcher impression got my mornings going.
Lily's 'relation' Paul used to live up the road from me and work the curtains at The Little Theatre in Birkenhead when I did shows there with my dancing school. Lily is brilliant, love watching these videos 👍
WHEN Did LILY SAVAGE EVER STICK TO A SCRIPT??? LOL 😂😆😅 THAT is WHY SHE was LOVED sooooooo MUCH ❣️🥰 GOD Rest Your Beautiful Precious Soul LILY/ PAUL: You left a LOT of Broken Heart's 💔 behind 🙏🕊️💗❣️
If you know anything about comedy especially stand up you know improvisation is necessary for a successful act. The standard jokes are scripted but its how you tell them and what else you throw in there to spice them up that makes them funny.
richardbeebeeerasure you lucky bastard! I know there is loads of footage of old Lil going off script during the filming of this show. You got in for a warm and a damn good show!
Paul O’Grady showing just how good a comedian he was. How much was scripted and how much was improvised. He’s so good you can’t actually tell. He’s far too rich and famous to tour these days but great to have videos showing that he was a master of his craft.
Lilly's delivery is very much like Larry Grayson's. Timing like that is only learned the hard way in working men's clubs where you had to be good otherwise you'd be quickly booed of the stage.
