Story is complicate and I'm no kav xwb but if I have to guess I say it seems they had a beautiful love. He loved her very much, play the bamboo flute for her n dream of a life growing old with her. Then she got married to someone else probably due to arrange marriage. She grew old and passed on. Her family came to ask him cuz he is the flute guy in the village to play the flute to send her to meet grandma and grandpa in the afterlife as tradition dictate. Though it was very hard and emotional for him cuz she was his sweetheart but he obliged and play his flute and showed her the way in the afterlife to her resting place. Then they come to a river where the living cannot cross he bid her farewell n return to the living. The pain of losing your loved one to someone else when you r young n then having to be the one called to her funeral to send her off when she passed is unimaginable. Nyob los tsis sib tau. I lost my mom first. In 2015 and the sad thing is my dad reserved the spot next to my mom bed he wanted to lay next to her. Even tho he knew they probably wouldn’t walk together as least they get to lay down next to each other. And now my dad also left me.
