the boy and girl were both orphans and escaped to the forest, the girl was sitting on the tree house hatch and when the boy opened it, they both fell, the boy dying. The boy goes through limbo (The place between life and death.) Blaming himself for his death and leaving his sister by herself. He creates his own Limbo, his own torment and is put through crude and gruesome fears, his fears being a fear of spiders, fear of being bullied or left alone (the boys) fear of not being in control (Brain worms) Depression (rain) The city (Where he might of had an accident with the glass) Fear of heights, Fear of being trapped and a fear of water. In the end he finally stumbles upon his sister, burying him, she feels his presents for the last time and he is able to escape the Limbo of his guilt, and enter death.
+king monkey I think actually they're both dead. in the main menu you can see the same place as the end of the game but more deteriorated and there are two groups of flies, one for each child. the girl was digging in the earth looking for the boy who was buried next to her. but your part of child's fears and everything else i totally agree with you.
Can you imagine? An 8 year old little boy wakes up in LIMBO, not scared, not terrified, knowing everything and doing what's needed, without any moment scrutinizing the situation, just going through the whole nightmare in speed? I say whole point of LIMBO or nightmare becomes obsolete, I tell you. Great game play anyway, I had to die thousand times...
One of the best gameplay ever, and still a beauty in terms of visual art.. 9 years after, this game is still totaly addictive!

It still looks amazing to this day. It probably will for a very long time. Only sad, that it runs on a very low resolution. I guess 1080p at max, it does look extremely pixelated and blurry on a 1440p monitor.
Then is true :( the final is the beginning of the game and you have to start all over again. I was hoping that the little guy awakes in a world full of color in the end. :'(. Poor kid trapped in that limbo nightmare. Excellent game though

It's interesting... The design for The Beast when he's in the shadows (and the forest that surrounds him) looks really similar to the designs from the game Limbo, and the series Over the Garden Wall itself seems to be a reference to going through limbo itself. Totally coincidence, but now playing Limbo feels like playing a darker chapter of the OTGW story. xD Like the events in Limbo are part of the Beast's origin story or something.
Good job bro.Dat game took me 5 hours to completed.The people who made this game are very tricky,don't know how many times that I died but I died a lot.
The sister and brother both died from the treehouse fall and in the end the sister is waiting for the brother to finish limbo bc she was already done and when the game ends the piles of flies show they officially went to heaven when they finished what they were supposed to do in limbo. The grown grass and ugly backround shows it's been a while since they died and the light shines on where they're body use to be. Now they in heaven together after finally finding each other in limbo.
One thing I love about the game is how smoothly you can go through the levels--I mean, you could make one huge panorama of the map simply because there's no cutscenes that chop it up or anything like that. It can all be done in one long run.
You have to switch it on and then off again (as soon as the first box hits the ceiling), so the second block falls down again before it hits the ceiling.

today got with 3 deaths to moment where you have to jump and there are those 2 saw and it should switch mid air, f up timing and died 3 times, will have to try tomorrow for that achievement.
People talked about the ending like it was clear-cut and decisive when it wasn't. You seen people on the forums throwing their own fucking theories around. They fucked it up for me trying to rush through the game to see it. Ending itself wasn't bad, the fucking gaming community online just false-advertised it.
Fuck my life. I died once on the part with two boxes and the spinning blade; three times on the last electric H section and then on the very last jump, I could die one time and still get the trophy for five or less deaths. I fucked it up, died three times. I could've done it but now I have to find another hour of motivation and unbroken concentration. This game, man.
Laura Nicole what crystal? also i thought it was his sister and at the end she is digging her brothers grave cos she doesnt realise that she is also dead and the brother doesnt realise that he is dead. And so when they meet they finally realise that they're both dead and in limbo so they can finally leave limbo and go to heaven

limbo is a scary game to me especially when the giant thing chase you and when the ps4 controller vibration make everything feel realistic it's like your living in a versiral world but technically it's versiral gaming

Some years ago, I found a video game attached to the _KMPlayer_ wherein a little boy wakes up in bed in this dark and spooky castle. Before the game starts it is explained that he also has to find his sister. Being killed by spikes or some other hazard will cause him to wake up again in the same bed. *That's the game I was looking for but my **_Google_** search for "boy wakes up searches for sister" led me to this.* Does the game I described sound familiar to anybody?
I absolutely hate the fact he won't jump while in the webbing when I tell him to, he absolutely refuses to, I don't know if this is a bug or what but he has caused me to die more than 4 times just from the first cliff. I test jump and everything, he still won't do it.
You have to press it 3 times. Not the magnetic one but the other one. That worked for me. Just press it 3 times. That should work. It did for me. If that doesn't work for some reason, 3 times but not so fast with certain timing I guess. First thing should work 100% though 🤗
