Well, I went to sleep last night and woke up to see one of my most successful videos after less than a day! Here's some important corrections people have pointed out that I think I should clarify! All the music isn't done my Mili, that's only the vocal tracks, and not the end of chapter ones. Studio EIM does the rest! (Thanks @Huntierier, @розпал (aeternum або юсуф), and @DirtiestHaRRy) There is actually a summon pity system! (Thanks @OnNeutralGround) I had no idea, but apparently every 10 you're guaranteed a higher rarity and every 100 it's even better! XP will be changing (Thanks @Ze Troll03) I saw this announcement from Project Moon, it went up about a day after I scheduled this video. :( Go read the Steam page for more info on that! Losing coin flips doesn't mean you automatically lose a clash (Thanks @Merlin Đào) And a lot of people pointed out that we don't really know what Dante is, he may not be classified as a distortion or abnormality. You forgot to talk about Mephi the people-eating, Enkephalin-fueled bus that takes us anywhere correctly despite the driver not knowing what east and west are

Some corrections: Dante is not an abnormality, from what has been said about Dante they are a human who had their head replaced with the clock head prosthetic, Virgilius mentions how they should add a microphone next time in reference to Dante's head and also state that Dante used to be a "bigwig" before they lost their memories. The Golden Boughs are not a result of the seed of light being spread at the end of Library of Ruina, though we don't know much about the Golden Boughs currently. Bough is pronounced with a hard "ow" sound like "cow" or "how", not like "dough". Not all the music is done by Mili only a few vocal tracks like the song for the opening and the battle against Kromer.

I was originally kind of concerned on how much of a cash grab Limbus would be, especially when PM were pretty upfront that they wanted to "make a reliable source of money to finance other projects". But wow, hats off to them for making it such a great game

With 12 Sinners and 26 districts, we might be getting at least 2 spotlight chapters per character. There's plenty of room for the stories to match or exceed Chapter 3. We'll see.

22:08 you know what's more call back for Library of Ruina? Gregor basic E.G.O If you see properly (The cutscene art and attack animation art), you can see all Floor references from LoR (actually not all floor logo, but Gregor finger's to is reference for another floors that not showing by logo's)

The moment you said "Gregor, my beloved" is when I decided "Yes, this would be a good video about my favourite game." I installed and played Limbus on a whim. I knew about the game from Mili and some advertisements, but oh wow, the story of this game is good, and I already fell in love with the characters. But seriously, I don't understand much about combat and other systems. Therefore, thanks for the explanation.

I feel like anyone who's considering playing this game at some point should at least download it and create their account so they can get future compensation rewards. During server maintenance, and what the director deemed as his shortcomings, PM provided in game bonuses to players as compensation. If you create an account, you'll get them. Even if you're not planning on playing at the moment, it's a good idea to receive some generous lunacy and other goods while you wait for a specific update, or until you find the time to play.

Your section on the dialogue especially was interesting to me because i play Genshin (ew, i know), so Limbus's dialogue actually felt crazy short to me. I guess i'm just too used to unskippable 20+ minute chunks of dialogue. looking at you, sumeru archon quest. I have to agree the the story is incredible though haha

11:04 you might want to change this. the XP is going to be in a different dungeon in 6 days BUT you're going to get 250 lunacy as long as the weekly bonus is still there (it will get reduced from 5 a week to 3 a week next week). so you can pull a 10x every 2 weeks (with extra 200 lunacy left).

"Higher rarity IDs are better" isn't actually true. Some 3 star & 2 star like R Corp Ishmael & W Corp Faust actually feel like sidegrades, 2 star Kurokumo Hong Lu does way more dmg than most 3 stars, the default character IDs are very solid, I still use them even in ch3. Character IDs are really easy to get, the main rare treasure in the gacha are the E.G.O.s. You only need 1 copy of a character to get them in full and max by uptieing. This is better than other gacha games where you need multiple copies of 1 character to power them to full (Nikke is really into this, 11 copies for max & level cap dependent on the first 4 copies?!). Still great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts!

A lot of these character gacha-type games will have extremely wordy dialogue. Even the game I play: Honkai Impact 3rd has a lot of dialogue and wordy explanations in the later game but there's moments where this story makes a pretty big impression on me. And that's why I'm glad they decide to go for animated cutscenes and short movies here and there.

Mili is not the studio, Mili is the singer that handles all of the vocal songs, while Studio EIM is the one handling all the non-vocals.

I just want to point out some things that are not exactly true. Winning more coin flips in a clash doesn't guarantee that you will win. If your attack has 3 coins vs an attack that has 1 coin, even if you lose the first 2 coin flips you can still win the clash if you win the next coin flip (since you have 1 coin left and they have none). Then instead of a 3-hits attack, you will only hit once. Also, the animated art only applies to 000 identities. Great video btw!

Ever so slight correction, the game does tell you about the menus, but it’s on the tiny “i” in the top left and the game doesn’t draw any attention to it at any point so it might as well not exist (Which is sort of understandable because if it stood out too much it would just get annoying).

Higher rarer identities are actually not strickly better, its all dependent on the sins you need. Ive also heard a few times that 00 Hong Lu is better then 000 Hong Lu

I started playing Limbus and I LOVED how much emphasis you put about the difficulty Spike, it truly feels like a wall if you completely forget about level system (which currently I am forgetting due the fact too used to LoR since I just completed weeks ago), it's quite funny how Canto 3 says how you're not strong enough but at the same time you need to figure it out why exactly

There's some misconceptions in this review probably. Dante is not confirmed to be a distortion or a abnormality heck he could be a human with just a mask, character misconceptions but also LC is story driven and fast paced.

I love playing LC so much. Its a breath of fresh air from a market saturated with predatory practices. Been playing for the 3 weeks and i'm enjoying every bit of it from the grind, difficulty of stages and not needing to spend to get the identity i want because of its shard system which can easily redeem a 000 identity/ego of your choosing. I enjoy reading the story so far and keeps me curious to what's in store for future updates.

I love how Project moon do their games. And i feel bad to dont give them some money for this awesome game. Hell they will even update Mirror dungeon to give better loot and Rose for pulls.

Watching you mention brave frontier unlocked a core memory for me. One of the few mobile games I played for a long time and took time to learn all the mechanics. I do that with Limbus company now.

I really respect this game. I get the pain of gatcha, but I respect that they made this as balanced as possible (and continue to update it). They’ve made it clear that this game is meant to be a means of a more constant revenue stream for other projects, but it’s clear that they also want this to stand on its own with all the love they can guve

There's actually a hidden detail about the use of EGOs. If you hit Tails on EGO, the effect has reduced impact in its VFX and SFX. Hitting Heads gives you stronger VFX and SFX.

something that got me quite curious in limbus is gregor's first ego (The one where his arm goes big) if you look closely, you can see the icons for many of the library of ruina floors on his arm like charms

Ngl whenever someone says that Limbus is too simple compared to Ruina, I suggest they go and watch someone play the first couple receptions in Library of Ruina. Limbus at this point is WAY more complicated than the sad excuse of encounters you get at the first ten or so receptions/abno fights you do in Library of Ruina.

Tbf alot of my favourite gacha games like arknights or pgr has long wordy text dialogues (WITHOUT VOICEACTING BTW ), tht i barely noticed how long the conversation has been going in LC thanks to the amazing voice acting. So unlike Arknights or pgr it didn't feel like a drag to read through since the voice actors gave so much personality to the characters through the interactions. Sometimes i even found myself wanting to hear more of their interactions instead of playing the stage. Don't get me wrong, arknights and pgr has amazing story, but I've lost count of how many times I've had to watch some youtuber recap a limited event's lore cuz my brain couldn't handle just reading such long texts with no voice acting whatsoever. And as someone who enjoys learning more abt the lore and world building behind any game i play, deciding to skip the dialogues, during limited events, due to lack of voiceacting was a painful choice to make. These games should try to add in voice acting for the story parts so tht more ppl would be engaged in reading through the text. Tbh idgaf abt which language they would pick, just tht the voice acting should be impeccable just like LC's.

I've only seen the vids about the series, but the moment I heard Between Two Worlds I needed to dig deeper. As for "gameplay depth" I'll say this looks more deep than any other gacha game out there

Something I realised while checking the sinners is that in the image of their first E.G.O. there´s a window with something related to their backstory, like in Sinclairs its his family after the implementation of the robotic prosthetics

Brave Frontier was an amazing game, and I love this stuff. Never heard of the previous two games, but Limbus company caught me off guard and blew my expectations for it since I loved it immensely. And I’m thinking of trying the other two games after seeing what you have said about the other two in the other vids. It seems awesome! Thanks for the help in the rundown too though. While it didn’t help me with Limbus company much, it gave me some background and got me interested in the other two that I intend to try. And the other two games seem great too but I’ll save some expectations till I’ve tired them

I too played Brave Frontier for quite a while. I even have a post on the subreddit where Rowgen glitched into having a stupid amount of HP. Actually went to see what was going on with it earlier this year and yeah.

19:02 you can skip the entire dialog if you wanted to by pressing that menu on top right corner and it skips ENTIRE DIALOG. its not a issue even for someone who want to enjoy the dialog since they are available at the theater in the main menu once you saw that dialog. (basically if you saw dialog A either u skipped or watched it entirely it gets unlocked in the theater in the main menu)

Great video, but I want to note that higher rarity identities are *not* strictly better. Some identities just have poor kits despite their higher stats. Like Outis's G Corp I'd argue is an overall downside. All of her skills only have a single coin, meaning she's got no moves in her movepool/deck that can be consistent which really prevent the "Team buffer role" from being useful when it's tied to winning clashes. Or Mariachis Sinclair having a defensive toolkit but a super slow speed to not make use of it.

I gotta say the thing that I really like about Limbus Company's combat is that, like any good, turn-based game, it's drowning in status effects, but they're actually balanced to the regular damage / attack / sin type damages too. There's a ton of strategy it's just in team selection rather than move selection. That's hard to do; most other similar moble games have builds that just obliterate everything through status effects, or have status effects be worthless.

I have to say 1 thing, this game is not wordy at all. Arknights, Fgo.. Genshin.. Uh.. Everyother gacha ever, tend to have a lot longer talking sections. Though Arknights doesn't really count since its infamous for having over 80000 words in a single event

Mili does the vocal tracks, and i wouldnt be surprised of they have some hand in the normal music, but Studio EIM does most of the bgm. Brave Frontier was probably one of the few pioneer gacha games for its time. It was honestly pretty popular in the east i would say.
