Highlights of in car video during the 2009 Lime rock vintage festival. This event is held every Labor day weekend and is a must visit event for any sports car enthusiast. Lime rock park is a special place. I think of this race track as being the birthplace of road racing in America, along with Watkins Glenn and Bridgehampton.
Sorry about the chickens at the end. Somehow it does not seem right that a racing video should end with chickens, but oh well, that is the way it turned out.

that was my blue mini at :048 making an initial pass...than giving it up when the smoke was flying.....good times at LIme Rock....

@77750K Glad you liked it. Bob's GT6 is a bit quicker than ours. If you look closely at the start you can see that he was the car off road in the first corner. Later he passed us (and the Aston Martin).

to make a pass on the straight with a slower vehicle, is back off a little at west bend, (led them pull a few yards on you) so you have full throttle (and speed ) which you then carry onto the straight and make the pass on an even higher accelerating car. If you have to break you momentum just a bit on the down hill turn (ie. with lapped cars, or that slingshot competitor ahead of you), you had no horsepower to compensate on the straight... and the opportunity then would be lost...
