>^..^< As a 7-8 year old boy, the son of a career navy man stationed at Pearl Harbor for nearly 15 of his 22 years. I actualy had the honor of honing my bicycle riding skills on the vary dock the Pan Clippers tied up to when the passengers were overnighting in Hawaii. I actualy never knew this as a boy until revisiting my home on Pearl City Peninsula in the 1990s and finging a bronz plaque there. Was I thrilled to learn this the first moment I read the plaque being a pilot my self........ I also believe I have seen B&W film of Charles Lindburg wakiing on this cement dock too..... The Iconic hand drawen color post card of the Honolulu Clipper with the hula girls in the forground is the dock I am refering to.

I was just a child, around 1953. We were going to NZ from America. We flew on one of these great flying boats. I still remember going down the floating dock and getting on board.

@@EnergeticWaves They weren't. The last B-314 flew during the war and definitely none of them were flying in 1953.

i am a lover of the boeing 314 and flying boats.. the museum is a wonder and the full size replica of this great flying boat is spectacular... please do another tour video with a voice over visitor who shows respect for the historical significance of the transoceanic pioneering of juan trippe and his pan american airways, and some real admiration for the beautiful reproduction of the 314 which so many put their hearts and hands into.. the narrator/visitor in this video sounds as he would if visiting a flea market.. foynes deserves better!
