Wow, and all this time, I thought the main theme to Miller's Crossing was an original piece. Not a bad thing... in fact, now I have a whole new appreciation for it - my favorite film score of all time. I read just recently that in a discussion between the Coen brothers and Gabriel Byrne about whether Byrne should retain his Irish accent for the film (he did, at his insistence) Byrne also suggested that "Limerick's Lamentation" be incorporated into the sound track. An inspired suggestion as it turns out....
