Don't agree with the critcism of Brian Lohan. He's over achieving if anything. Their round Robin record is the best of any team including Limerick if I. Not mistaken. Take Kelly, O'Donnell and Davy Fitz out of it and they have a very ordinary panel. Player for player Cork and Waterford have more talent.
As a dublin hurling fan, I can truly say we'd high hopes for that game. Even to be really competitive. But we never saw that coming. People, like the players, I'm sure, we're in shock. I felt sorry for the dublin team. You dont train your heart out to have a day like that. Fingers crossed that there's a bounce there back and make a good game v cork. The team improved alot this year. What happened on Saturday was, i dunno what it was.
Man I thought the exact same! I’m from Limerick, living in Dublin and lots of my Dublin pals had high expectations and I thought rightly so. Kilkenny just had one of those days in fairness to them but yer still in it. Ye play a nice brand of hurlin. More than likely ye’ll face Cork and I just hope ye get stuck in.
Congrats to Limerick. Without a doubt the best hurling team to ever play the game with about 6 or 7 players that would get on a best 15 of all time. And they're not finished yet. These men don't know what the word 'defeat' means.
Absolutely. Even if they don't win All Ireland this year for me they are the best. They've had to face much tougher opposition and far more tougher games. And 3,4 major injuries for the ALL IRELAND semi finals and finals for the past 2,3 seasons
TK ..a great man for moaning. No egos in limk.Kelly should have been hauled off in 2nd half...and whats the story with not naming him in the team??As if limk were quaking in their boots seeing him start😂😂
@@johnos2765I wouldn't normally slate someone but he's a poor sport very arrogant and feigns injury in order to get opposition players booked. Even yesterday he seemingly rose from the dead to strike David reidy who was already on a yellow, trying to get him to retaliate and get a red
@@kieran3237 cork won't get away with the off the ball shit that happened in pairc ui chaoimh they'll be exposed by Limerick in the semi... provided they beat Offaly and Dublin
Limerick could win 10 in a row in all seriousness. Cork could challenge them, Tipp have young players coming through and Clare have a great team on paper. But jaysus they could win 10 All Irelands at this rate.
Clare couldn't get the ball, Limerick had the receiver surrounded off all puck outs, they were prime for the breaks and Clare couldn't get any clean possession. It wasn't Clare were terrible its that Limerick nullified them completely, it was a miracle Clare were close given how they were shut down
Agree with ye . Peter Duggan couldn't do it on his own . I cant believe the score in the end , Limerick should have beaten Clare by at least 20 points . How did Clare keep launching long balls in even though it never worked . Sign of insanity doing the same thing and expecting different results 😮
Long ball would be fine if it was good ball but it wasnt. 20 points, im not sure. Limerick didnt have any goal chances, and the one they got was lucky enough. Bad decision making from clare, never seem to learn. Yet if Rogers scores that goal and kelly had a bad miss just after.....a few other bad misses, frees....but Limerick are better all over the field. From 1 - 9 they're in a different league.
TK is TK but dont think it was good for the group when he just comes in and starts! David reidy did more than enough to deserve his starting spot. Always think its a sign of a weak manager when they let a reputation dictate a decision. They were beating limerick in the round robin without TK
Shane o donnell , munster. Still unmarkable right from the league. Didnt get the service yesterday. Lee chin leinster, sensational all through. Ball winning, setting up scores and scored freely himself. Charlie nichols in the joe mac. Consistantly leading from the front
They dont seem to have a replacement full back it wud appear to me. When John Conlon and Conor Cleary retire I cant see them having anyone really to fill those key positions.
Verney, we may have won 24 Leinster hurling champiinships but the vast majority of them were won with teams full of country men living and working in Dublin at the time. Since 1948 we've won three titles so it's a pretty poor return in 76 years. And i'd say only the 1961 team who had the Foley brothers and 2013 were the only teams who had most if not all Dublin men on the team.
Dubs never showed up in the first half, gave Kilkenny too much space and our first touch was poor. We played much better in the 2nd half whether that was due to the Cats easing up, but we defo tightened up at the back, but our wides killed any chance of making the score more bearable. As a seasoned Dublin fan you could see it was over after 5 mins and the hill knew it too. I'm afraid of the quarter final now, we don't usually bounce back after Kilkenny batter us. 🤞 we do. Kyle Hayes would of been player of the year last year only for the court case. Hayes and Hegarthy top 2 this year IMO. Agree with Shane, Lohan is part of the problem at Clare at this stage, no disrespect to the legend of a man, but he's made some one dimensional decisions the last 2 years.
Agree with the analysis of Laois v Offaly. The one decision I couldn’t get over was how long Mossy Keys was left on the pitch. Shied away from plenty of contact, won no dirty ball and contributed very little from play. Not sure why he wasn’t taken off in the first half. Just wasn’t going to be his day
Clare were a better team last year, Manager needs to act faster when things aren't working. Limerick are an unbelievable set up, they stick to the method and have subs that play the system if others have a poor day. Gracious winners too in fairness! Hoping Cork can weave through to have a cut off of them in a semi... Hard to see Limerick not pull off the 5 in a row.
No 6 the weak link for Clare, clearances weak too slow. Duggan should be 14, Kelly and O Donnell could feed off him. He's no good outfield. I'm really fed up of this throwing the ball, that's not hurling.
Dublin were absolutely brutal. Couldn't believe it myself last week when Shano predicted a Dublin win and Verney called a draw. Just shows you the 'experts' can be badly wrong at times. Always fancied Kilkenny to beat Dublin in the wide expances of Croke Park in a Leinster final. Our dismal head to head v the cats down the years had me fearing the worst but hoping for the best. Unfortunately the game was done after 15 minutes but some of Dublin's touch, skill and tactics left a lot to be desired. Still though it's a bit of an achievement for this side to even reach a Leinster final so it's not all bad for the small ball game in the capital.
Limerick aren't the best of all time how many allirelands have they won that's what counts cork and tipp got more all irelands won the trouble with limerick they are to cocky 😅
