I was in a different tab and assumed it was Pete - Never heard a Jazzmaster sound like that...Pete shaking his head in wonder...Captain saying 'I feel I should play differently on a Jazzmaster'...No - play it like that - it was awesome.
@@andertons Jazzmaster feels man, felt that so I did

@@andertons Yes, the one @25:52 is crazy good. I'm gonna keep practicing but It's almost hard to imagine playing something as good sounding as that. Beautiful.
The Captain's jazzmaster solo was really something else. I love how Pete was just smiling while watching Lee play, especially when the drive kicked in.
I wasn’t looking at my screen at 28 minutes in, and I thought to myself Pete’s really killing it on the tele ...then I looked up, it was the captain on the jazz master
Captain... this BLUE THING is yours ! I listened few times the part where you playing it... and it is amazing... man... inspiration was on you... you looked like you discover a new love... You and this Jazz Master belong each other... for few minutes you told whole love story with this guitar ! And... Pete just describes this love with his improvisation...
Yes, that jam Lee came up with on the Jazzmaster was so nice! Could tell he was truly getting lost in that one. Those are the moments that make music, and playing guitar so worth while. Keep the jams coming guys.
Glad you enjoy the intro jams! If you want to hear more, give a search up for "The Jams Of Andertons TV". We have multiple videos dedicated to all our best intros! 🤘
These Rosewood necks are incredible! I got a tele with one a few years ago. It is so comfortable to play. The only thing I wish they would do with these models is have the fender logo on the headstock white so you can see it!
That jam at the 28min was awesome. The JM sounds fantastic, and to watch Pete play the support role and time his licks on that T series.. just fantastic those sounds together.
I just got a solid rosewood neck guitar and was trying to figure out how to describe how amazing it feels. i think you’re right about the density. i think it really makes a difference. it feels luxurious compared to my solid maple necks
I have a 2016 American Pro Tele with a rosewood neck and the thing is so awesome. It's hard to tell what's different, but it is, and its so good! Mine is the Surf green though!
You guys are Rock Stars! So greatful for your videos. You guys put them out at an impressive rate. I thoroughly enjoy watching them more than regular television. Much love to you all at Anderson's.
always loved to see pete and the captain jam.their riffs are really cool and licks are beautiful specially on clean tones. Even with overdrives you can hear the notes clearly and nicely pleasant to ears.
Ok, Special Run dream guitar for me. Like what Fender did a bunch of years ago in the "Plus" line: Telecaster with a Strat tremolo, Strat contours, Hum/Single with a proper split on the hum, regular Tele single coil neck pup, LSR roller nut, maple or ebony fret-board. 24 frets (at least 22). Bunch of cool colors including Antique Olive, Red, medium blue. Right now to get all that you pretty much have go to a boutique maker like Anderson, Suhr, etc. (Though Berger guitars in the USA makes one similar). Great show guys.
The jam at 28:10 ish. The captains playing gave me goosebumps here. There's been a few times in Anderson's vids that I've been blown away, mostly ariel and Pete jamming together. But that was great Captain. Your improvement since you got your head down has been great to watch
Lee "The Captain" Anderton hit a high-register note on the Strat at one point that I can only describe as tonally sublime and really exciting. Great playing!
I ordered a Fender MOD shop Telecaster on my 50th birthday on May 16th.Surf green/all rosewood neck/GEN 4 noiseless pickups/locking modern tuners.I wish they had the white blonde paint option. Can't wait!
God I LOVE the Tele that Pete was playing! My dream guitar guys!!! Soon... When I get back to work, that is my dream goal. So happy to hear that you may be soon reunited in the same room! Pete and the boys did a fantastic job on these COVIDS and the end result of all of your hard work helped us go through these trying times. A huge thank you is deserved from all of us. You guys are AWESOME!! :) from Montreal
Wendell Holmes used to regularly play a green tele similar to that one in nyc in the 80s (no solid rosewood neck though). I always loved him with that guitar! (And coincidently, danish Pete, Copenhagen native, Anders Gaardman, played tenor sax for years in that kick ass band. RIP... the HOLMES BROTHERS.)
@@TheAndypaul85 I've always loved how strats sound but never how they felt, Fenders in general. I have a preference in Gibson, Gretsch, PRS so I might not be the best person to comment. This is the first Fender I can say I love playing, and I do have a custom shop. As for the guitar, I think the neck is just amazing. One of the most comfortable necks I've felt, especially for a Fender. It's just so smooth and easy to move on. As for the tone (clean), it sounds even more like a start. The guitar is extra spanky and a bit brighter than a maple neck, at least to me. It sounds like a maple neck when you roll back tone to 9. But the neck is just amazing! The rest is a regular strat. I think if you already like Fender starts you will like it.
That is called 7 Way switching Like David Gilmour setup and also the other thing is the Tone Control can be wired to control Middle and Back Pickup for rear tone and the front Tome is for tone on Neck pickup...I have been wiring all my strats like this for over 7 years now... it allows you to get tele sound from a strat with Neck and Bridge Pickup especially if you can control the tone independently on those two pickups...
It's easy to forget how good the older bands were because they are the template for all the other bands that come after and influenced everyone in some way or another, which has now become the norm
Look, there were different artist for different times.Lucky we had a those great geniuses upon st us. They are the one that paved the way for all the greatness you hear today. Great demo. I want one of those so bad. I will never be able to afford it. Being disabled does have some of its limitations but I'm OK with the chines stratt I have. I love music.
Music is reflective of the era from which it emmanates. But that does not mean it cannot affect subsequent time frames. Music from the 1960's/70's is still popular and alive...and influential.
Fab demo . Pete's tele in particular sounds immense. Wasn't thinking of getting one of these, but you might have swayed it . Great looking and sounding guitars . Ta.
Lee, great playing! Pete terrific as always! Lee, Tell your wife without the Beatles, there would be no “moving forward”. We would not have moved past them. It was only due to their popularity that they were free to experiment creatively and their success with that allowed others to experiment too and move music forward. And from Jazz to the Beatles to Sinatra great music is always fresh!
04:48 Keef would have had a 'discussion' with Cowell and showed him his skills with a shiv. 09:50 I've played a Strat & Jaguar American Pro and think the Professional series are well built & offer good upgrades.
If the Beatles never existed...the world would be a much different place than it is today....Capt, no offense to your wife, I'm sure she is a lovely lady but saying the Beatles are not all that, is kind of like saying Leonardo's Mona Lisa is not all that. Love the Olive Green Tele Pete is playing, sounds great....And would give anything to have a reissue of George's Rosewood Tele he's playing on the roof of Apple for their last live performance together. Well done boys.....another top notch video...stay well, stay safe.
Okay, my dawgs: The "Yosemite" character you're thinking of is Yosemite Sam, a frequent foil to Bugs Bunny in Warner Brothers cartoons. Yogi Bear resides in "Jellystone" Park, which is a send-up of Yellowstone National Park, and his running buddy (not little brother, to the best of my knowledge) is named Boo-boo. You're really showing your age here -- not because you referred to these characters, but because you've FORGOTTEN them like old men!😄
Where would my childhood be without Yosemite Sam, Bugs Bunny, Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo and not forgetting Ranger Smith? Great playing from Pete and Lee, just WOW! How I wish I could afford the Telecaster In Surf Green and the Jazzmaster In Sky Burst Metallic.
I have an American Professional Strat with rosewood neck from a few years back in Daphne Blue - it is without a doubt one of the nicest guitars that I've ever played! I love rosewood as a neck wood, feels so smooth and slinky! I've also got a PRS Wood Library with rosewood neck and it's phenomenal too. GASing hard for that Olive Drab Tele now ;)
@@andertons Don't blame him one bit... Ever since I saw that color on the American Pro Strat, I prayed they'd put it on a Tele.... And it's as fantastic as I'd hoped.
I’m not a religious guy or anything like that but I can’t believe you haven’t done a vid on the Lincoln Brewster Strat!!!!! It’s basically a custom shop that’s not relic and it’s totally different. I got a les Paul standard from you and also tried this strat and ended up walking out with it as well!!!! (One thing I will say is your staff are amazing! Got me the les Paul and strat from the warehouse within an hour... so they weren’t shop worn). Just surprised a strat that’s basically made in the custom shop with a 20db boost which makes it sound ridiculous hasn’t made it into a vid....
Glad you are enjoying the Andertons Jams. Check out Danish Pete's LockDownLicks if you want to Jam along with him...😉 ru-vid.com/group/PLQXro2VDjyIzMg_0krM2CW3Ry0_CROaxK
Suggestions? Love the Aged Natural finish, and that Antique Olive Tele, you mention relic'd, why not, bot not fussed. What I would love to see, is something visually like either of those, but with pickups more suited to metal, be that hotrails or humbuckers. Bea's Chapman took the Tele in that direction really well. Usual great playing Pete, but wo, the Cap on that Jazzmaster!
I was in the New York guitar centre recently and they had some of these limited edition Rosewood necks, but they had one with a turquoise body and tortoiseshell pickgaurd and it was absolutely beautiful - I was really hoping we'd get it here
Damn. That Jazaster Tele jam was tasty. Nice playing. FSR I would buy... Orange sparkle, purple sparkle, olive drab... In Strat, Tele, or Jazzmaster in any model at Player Series or below. Preferably maple necks. Yogi, Boo Boo, and Ranger Bob lived in Jellystone Park.
The Am Pro jazzmasters actually have VMod pickups, which have coils shaped more like a strat pickup than the conventional jazzmaster pickups you described. So they sound more strat-like. You really need someone who knows and likes offsets to review them.
I mean Jesus h christ. I keep coming back to this. That duet when Lee has the jazz master and Pete with the tele is one of the sweetest sounds ever. It's got Aerosmith dream on vibes but moodier. I need the tab.
Just to say, that that Tele doesn’t have the V-Mod pickups like a standard American Pro Tele. It has a set of Pure Vintage ‘64 Telecaster pickups. I specifically asked Fender the question because I’d seen conflicting spec listings on different store websites. To me that makes the guitar even more “interesting” (not necessarily better or worse, but fits the bill of an FSR model even more with that additional spec change from the normal model). Edit: by the way, if you follow the link for the item to Anderton’s website you can see that it doesn’t have the V-Mod pickups (even though they say it does) because the photos clearly show staggered height bridge pickup polepieces and the V-Mod pickups don’t have that... they have flat polepieces.
Thank you for pointing this out, I purchased the guitar last week, and love it. Emailed fender today with the serial and they just confirmed it has the Pure Vintage ‘64 fitted. Makes this guitar that bit more different from the American Pro.
I've an American Pro Strat with maple neck, and another with the full rosewood neck. You can hear this somewhat in parts of this video, but I've noticed the full rosewood neck especially on slower single note lines tends to have this (bad description incoming) characteristic 'tack', like scotch tape being quickly pulled off, as part of the tone. Interesting difference I've noted between the two types of necks, and it's quite fun to play INTO that lovely nuance. Anyone else noticed this also about the full rosewood necks?
