Alex concisely conveys so much information in these quick videos, and that really reflects both his ability go deep and be accessible at the same time. There's no one better to do these "new set Limited 101" videos--really hope to see more of them.

In my opinion, nobody does a better job of making the limited format approachable for people newer to it or better overall for those more experienced with it than Alex. He's a great choice for this kind of video.

When you cater to the whales you make the vast majority of regular players feel left out. At some point in price raising, you will lose costumers, the law of price and demand, and you’ll price people out of the game, then you’ll have less player base and eventually no player base. Player base are getting older and no kids are joining the game, because it is expensive to built a competitive deck, no kids’ $20 deck will beat an old player with a $1,000+ deck. Blue/green madness deck was the only time kids had a chance in competitive Magic. You make more profit by selling to everyone instead of selling to a few whales. You need to remake your products at an affordable price, special products aim at whales will not sell much in volume compare to affordable products. Magic is dying from no new players and from people getting price out of Magic. You should not let secondary market influence you from reprinting old cards in a set. If anything, you should flood the market with high price secondary market cards to make the game more affordable to players, the secondary market is artificially inflated anyway, so you need to destroy it a little to keep players in the game and not let them get price out of the game. The secondary market these day is what killing Magic, it is pricing people out of the game due to greedy and shady single cards sellers who colluded with each other to raise prices of particular cards when there’s speculation or a hint of the card being popular.
