Amazing that these cars are highlights to the youth today. When I was selling these back in the days no one wanted them, same as the Silvas and Cefiros. Oh how times have changed.
Such an amazing build! I can say I notice the 5th gear grind. I think thats more of an issue with the shift linkage/bushings. I got new bushings for my car and it solved the grind in 5th gear. I had TONS of free-play in my shifter from the shot-out bushings, just like your car. Check your shift linkage on the transmission too. It will save your transmission.

What do you have to do to run the nav 6 speed? Always knew people ran them but never knew exactly how to, would be something I’d like to do in the future
You have to have the input shaft machined down and shortened by 20mm or so by memory. Big box or rb26 bellhousing will bolt straight on and you need a custom driveshaft and crossmember to make it fit. Use any rb20/25 clutch etc as the nav boxes have the same input spline as 20/25 box.
