Wes borland don't need amazing guitar solos to be a great player. His style is so unique no one else like him that's what makes him such a special player
if you watch closeley you can see that alot of people record with video cameras. You just cant see them in the crowd since they dont have a bright display.
So true. Seeing footage from last years rock am ring is a shame.. When you seeing these years. So much dead crowds nowadays. Years like 06-10 people on rock am ring lose their shit in the front.
what if I tell you, you can record 5 mins out of a band's 1 hour set, and still have fun? I`ve been to Rock im park, and I like to record a little something from each band, because months/years later, I like to watch it and remember what it was, and even in this technological day and age, there arent official videos of ALL the bands performing. For example, Foo Fighters at 2018 rock im park...if it wasnt for the videos that fans recorded, there wouldnt be anything from then on youtube. And I can still watch, sing and jump, while holding a phone lol its not that hard.
@@p1roncho I agree, but at the same time you have to agree that the atmosphere it different, right? I definitely notice a whooooole lot more phone filming and a whole lot less dancing/jumping/singing today compared to 10 or 15 years ago!

The sad thing is that people have so much hate now days, that they cannot even gather in a group half this size, and have fun. There always has to be violence and drama. They’re missing out on so much.
yeah, i´m 35 years old, so my adolescence was: Korn, Coal Chamber, Deftones, Soulfly, Sepultura, Rage Agains The Machine, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, Manson, etc, etc.....fucking amazing. Friends, music and skate.
Dude was never really seen as an underrated guitarist. I was tight in the circles of the new metal era and it was widely accepted that he was one of the best. His various characters became just as much as a part of the show just as Fred would be being in the front man.. I think Wes never really had the respect that he truly deserved was because a lot of the bands out there didn’t like Fred and he was slammed by association.. the Dude was and still is guitar slaying surgeon..
I caught them at Boomtown a couple of years ago and they were unreal. My inner teenager was going mental. Show had to be cut short due to the stage falling apart, ironically during Break Stuff.
@@petergriffin4629 they just did lallapalooza as there big American comeback since they don’t play here much anymore. 100,000 people and they killed it. They were the most talked about act at the festival and people were showing them nothing but love which norm they get hate. They were trending everywhere. They showed the young kids what it used to be all about. I hope they blow up again. I’ll be seeing them headline in VA with 160,000 of my closest friends
Just here to say limp bizkit is still alive and well, just seen them on the last night of the lo-serv-ille, iykyk, tour and they had the largest amphitheater in the US going nuts from the pit all the way to the lawn, can’t wait to see them again
I was there when I was 21 years old, and let me tell you, I was in awe how "clean" they sounded, they sounded almost exactly like in the studio, the audio quality was absolutely amazing. to this day, the best gig I've ever been to. And I've been to A LOT of gigs and festivals since then.
Damn, it’s absolutely amazing and sad to see how happy and how much hype they had coming back from their hiatus. I wish they could have become a true act again and release albums instead of just touring the same greatest hits set list they do nowadays.
Agreed. They had a lot of good momentum with the success of Gold Cobra and the announcement of Stampede of The Disco Elephants, but they really took too long and lost that momentum. Of course we got Still Sucks now but it’s not the same hype, it’s going to take them a while to recover from that, if they even make another album. I try to be optimistic tho because I still haven’t gotten a chance to seem live
So right, they’re back on the climb but even seeing them in 2011 I got to enjoy that hype from their coming back from hiatus. I hope they get big again
Limp bizkit is hated by sheeps because they promoted Napster so greedy musicians and producers started dissing them and the ignorant jumped the bandwagon. Compared to todays lyrics. limp bizkit is a gods gift sent from heaven
I have said for years they put on one of the most amazing live shows there is. It’s nonstop, insane energy and all around adrenaline rush. I actually prefer to listen to their concerts/live shows than their studio recordings. I actually think they’re better than the actual original recordings cuz you perfect your talent over time. I enjoy the energy All 5 of them put out and Wes Borland is like a rare gem and a lot of today’s individuals haven’t the slightest as to just how talented of musicians they truly are.
For as much shit as some talk about Durst and Limp Bizkit, you cannot deny that bands incredible ability to absolutely destroy those audiences with energy! I have never seen a lame live show from them-year after year! And to all the recent posters-I feel you, I really miss live shows. Head bang at home my metal friends and stay healthy, see you in the pits soon! \m/ >.< \m/
Saw them open for Faith No More in the late 90's and they were absolutely awful. Boo'd offstage, actually. There was an audience for these guys, certainly. coming on the heels of NIN and RATM. They jumped into the rap-rock scene at the right time. But I thought they were hysterically bad.

Amazing performance. I really like the interaction between Fred Durst and the crowd. He's been given a lot of criticism over the years and people often mock him (or Limp Bizkit). But this is as good as it can get. He gets die hard fans onto the stage for performance. He gets into the crowd. And the crowd is really into it like hell. Brilliant!
I see y’all talking about how great Wes Borland is and yea he’s got some cool Erie riffs but besides that he’s ok, but the real genius is limps rhythm section. I can’t say this enough, Sam rivers and John Otto are underated
one of the best live bands i have seen i got to see them in Jacksonville Fl there home town in 2013 amazing show Wes Borland is beyond a great guitar player Sam rivers is a kick ass bass player. and Fred is a hell of a front man
I have to travel this concert time,,. Teleport and tell Fred Durst that in the year 2020,, there's a Pandemic ,,and tell everyone of his fans make the most of his concert worth it,,until it reach year 2020
@HeyThatsAlex yeah it's true I am 15 years old and the only person in my class and/or school that listens to every kind of metal I would love to play in a band as drummer since I've been drumming for 6 years but there are very few people that want to open a metal band I hate that my generation is this fucked up and listened to shit like the new American rap and pop shit
To my Daughter and Son, I’d like to tell you that this was ‘My Generation’ which we had ‘Livin’ it up’ fully. If you ask ‘Show me what you got…’ then this will be it. In your generation, this might be so awkward that it might ‘eat you alive’ but im telling you this was the real ‘Hot Dog’ back then. I don’t know, maybe you might have a ‘Re-arranged’ versions of these music in your time but Im sure all other versions wont ‘Break Stuff’ or create some ‘Boiler’ like the music I experienced in my time. ‘Just like this’, we had lived our full life like ‘Full Nelson’. I still remember, I was on ‘My way’ home from High school and bought the chocolate starfish using my scholarship, but then I had to lie to your grandma about the total amount of the scholarship….maybe I was a little bit out of ‘Faith’ ^^. This Man ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ with a cap(normally Red) got me more into music than ‘Nookie’. Today, I ‘Take a look around’ and realized that I was lucky to witness the full-swing of the Nu-Metal era and I hope you agree with me ‘Rollin’ my life with it. Love you.
these guys are so badass! I saw them back in 1998 (Family Values Tour) and again just a few weeks ago (2024) and they STILL kill it! Sound amazing and can get the crowd jumping!
I saw this concert as an 11 year old and loved it and now I’m 26 realizing this is way amazing. My favorite part is 57:44 Wes starting his Riff with a custom Guitar for the Nookie. Who uses a custom guitar for one song that’s awesome
I have been to a heck of a lot of concerts in my lifetime with diff artists and I have never seen a frontman that cares so much about getting the crowd involved in the entire show. Most frontman just wanna run around showing off and literally just want all eyes on them and they DGAF about the audience that much. THIS WAS A FUN F*CKIN SHOW!
I discovered Limp Bizkit when they started, and never had the opportunity to see them live, and that's a shame because I had loved it, they sound super good live.🤘
