Mike is definitely a decent guitar player and a great live performer. But how come someone can claim that he’s better than Wes, when he wasn’t even capable of playing everything that Wes had created (like Re-Arranged) ? That’s a nonsense
Let's be honest, there wouldn't be LB without Wes. Mike is not a better song writer, but he had better tone and was more disciplined on stage than Wes, just listen to that tone and how clean he plays.
@IvanLjubesicljubax I was thinking about that before I read this comment. I played drums In a band that did really well for a while. Seems like the creator of the songs takes more liberties when playing live, and the next guy up has really only heard one version of the song, so when they learn it, it's exactly like the studio version. And if you're going to replace a guitarist, especially in a big band, you better be damn good at playing their old songs. Another thing about bands is the recorded version isn't usually the first version of the song. A lot of songs we recorded sounded a lot different live, and we're changed in the studio, then what we played afterwards was some evolution of that
Gage Are you deaf? Do you really think that guy that dresses up like a clown and cranks up his mid-tones to get the shittiest sound achievable is better than Mike Smith?
@@mod3rnwarrior34He's a clown/jester when performing, that's the whole point of him costumes for a *live performance* and an essential part of LB live aesthetic, duh!
