After a couple of listens, - the first few tracks are very good but then it's inconsistent after that. I think all my favorite songs are the ones with big Wes Borland riffs.
I used to attempt to draw the Signficant Other album cover on my music teacher’s chalkboard in 6th grade when we would come in for band practice before starting the school day. That sent me back. Love the LB.
You pretty much described my upbringing too. The first time hearing Nookie, there was an instant, this is my band, damn. The more you listen to this album the better it gets. Im singing the chorus's in my head all day long. Out of Style is a perfect LB song. Reminds me of a 2021 My Generation.
I got really sad when i saw the title and thumbnail and thought "oh what he dislikes limp bizkit??" I was so happy when i realized it's just the name of the album! My mom played Nookie for me when i was like 9 and i've been a huge fan since! Awesome to see they're back!
Wes is in my #Top5, so I'll always listen to anything he's playing on. I wish when he left LB he would've done an album with FNM- that could've been *tremendous* I always thought musically he'd get on really well with Mike Patton. I reckon you're right with the 5 or 6 tracks would've made a solid EP thing tbh. p.s. "Empty Hole" here is like Chris Cornell's "Seasons", but without the quality lyrics & masterful bluesy rock vocal Cornell blessed us with. ;)
Definitely check out the live clips circulating the interwebz right now bro! :) My favorite song is You Bring Out the Worst In Me. I'm a huge fan as well. Btw memebers are the following: Vox - Fred Durst Bass - Sam Rivers Turntables/Sampling - DJ Lethal Guitar - Wes Borland Drums - John Otto
Still Sucks is antithesis of Gold Cobra, and it gets right back down to what made the Bizkit fun in the first place rather than the aggression on Cobra.
I still remember 1999 first year of high school, still harbouring fear from Resident Evil 2, Silent hill, puberty, Snowtown happened 60kms from me, Columbine, Korn and the Bizkit
The first song seems somewhat reminiscent of hot dog. But that’s all that I really thought was good. The rest of the album didn’t really flow well or had enough metal in my opinion. This was a lot more pop than I would’ve expected from them. Especially with their “fuck you” attitude they had.
Best review of this album ive seen so far and ive seen like 50. you really captured that classic LB vibe they have in this album that no other band can create. ive had the same chills as you when i first heard out of style, im thrilled that there back and that they sound so good, especially fred's vocals and wes's riffs but everyone in general are just doing an incredible job on this one and hopefully well see more in the upcoming future. great work dude. bizkit for life.
@@Roguenjosh i mean thats your opinion dude you're allowed to like who u want but im not the only person who thinks fred durst sucks alot people do plus other singers LOL
