Living below, in this old sinful world Hardly a comfort can afford Striving alone, to face temptation's sword Where could I go but to the Lord? Where could I go, oh where could I go? Seeking a refuge for my soul Needing a friend, to help me in the end Where could I go, but to the Lord? Neighbors are kind, I love them everyone We get along in sweet accord But when my soul, needs manner from above Where could I go but to the Lord? Where could I go, oh where could I go? Seeking a refuge for my soul Needing a friend, to help me in the end Where could I go, but to the Lord? Where could I go, but to the Lord? Where could I go, but to the Lord?
My Mom and I sang this song in the Pentecostal Church of God many times!! One of my most favorite gospel of all time!! Miss my Mom she is now in Heaven looking down on us all!!!!!!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Many years later I was staying in a "Bed and Breakfast" in Cornwall England. The home owner and his wife started Playing this song. I could not believe how small the world was, written in Gitano MS by a country preacher (my mothers Favorite Preacher/song writer). And here I am across the great Ocean and hearing it played.
J B Coats wrote this song, my mothers favorite Preacher, he had visited a old black friend to console him in his final hours. He looked up to Rev Coats and said "Where Could I Go But To the Lord" Thus the inspiration for him writing this great Gospel Song.
What a Beautiful song Thank you. I play this over and over I miss my Mommy so much my Heart Broken They say it gets easier but it doesn't Love you I'll see you when our Heavenly Father comes for me your the first Person I'm looking for 😢😢😢❤
I had this image of someone being discouraged and hearing this song carrying thru the woods and receiving as a special lift from God to encourage their heart and lighten their load. God bless you both.

Life here is grand, with friends I love so dear Comfort I get from God's own word Yet when I face this chilling hand of death
One of our favourites, and one of the FIRST songs I heard and loved. Sung at a church camp too in 1972 or 1973. Very pertinent at that time...... Come a long way by God's Grace and Mercy.

Wednesday/March/6/2024 ✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼✝️ Amen!!!! I find myself now these days not being able to go no place but to the LORD. I go to my rock of my salvation, his name is JESUS CHRIST. He's my friend, he's my doctor, he's my light in a dark place, he's my friend who is soooo faithful and true, he will never let me down, he will always be with me, and in me, and he will never leave me nor forsake me. To God be the glory, hallelujah! Praise Jesus! ✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼✝️
