Many models of the 80's and 90's made their mark, but Linda surpasses them all. She was the prima donna assoluta of the runway in her time, in the very best sense of the word. What an honor it is to have lived during her reign.

In the 90's, computer assisted publishing and printing made it possible to mass produce very cheap high quality print material in color. That gave rise to the cult of a fashion model. All of the famous models were known globally. They were the Pewdiepie's of the magazine era. Every time technology took a leap forward, it erased old idols and gave rise to new ones, most adapted to the form factor. Linda's was a goddess, with that signature hairstyle and a long beautiful neck that it exposed. Her look was essential to selling that style.

I remember so very clearly when she cut her hair ... it was an enormous shock! But, I absolutely L-O-V-E-D it!!! She was always a stunning beauty, but her short hair in an era of flowing locks set her apart from every model of her day. It was a brilliant move. Linda has never tried to fit in, she has always tried to stand apart ... short hair ... bobbed hair ... red hair ... blonde hair. You never knew how she would look when she appeared, created an enormous degree of excitement. Truly an icon.

It's hard work. It takes effort, and it takes self-control. Having the best hairdressers, fashion designers, makeup artists, and photographers helps, too. LOL
