What an angelic voice.!!! Few singers could bring a song to life like the legendary Linda Jones. Every word reaches deep down into your soul. Her legacy lives on. Mad props to George Kerr for his songwriting and producing skills. Be sure to check out his work with the dynamic Escorts.
Linda jones gave Billy jones her nephew a gold Cadillac with leopard roof. We lived in the lil bricks in Nwk Nj. R.I.P. Ms jones your music lives on. In the 70s.
Linda is incredible and with Richard Tee and George Kerr on the production wow!!! would love to have been in the studio with them just watching and learning.....
One of two great 45s she cut on Gamble & Huff's Neptune label, in 1969 - though all of her recordings were equally intense and soulful, whatever label she recorded for. A truly original talent who didn't need computer technology or sampling to bolster her creativity!
@turquoiz The two Linda Jones sides on Neptune are: "I'll Be Sweeter Tomorrow" c/w "That's When I'll Stop Loving You" - one of her best, IMO - (NEPTUNE N-17) and "Ooh Baby You Move Me" c/w "Can You Blame Me" (NEPTUNE N-26).
