a girl who could have made a fortune modelling without ever picking up a bow became one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century. but she sweated blood for it.
This is another of the hits played by this majestic princess of the violin Linda Lampenius that make me admire ther prowess playing with such energy! Beautiful my baby L L, I love you for such pieces of beautiful music you give to all of us your listeners.Sincerely with reverent appreciation, Andadolager
@meryldepp No you're not... Thank you for posting this, i thought i was the only one here with this point of view & was a bit desperate of this... e_e'
Search for Maxim Vengerov's version.. He is easily the superior violinist. It is unaccompanied and a full performance, not a simple thing like this. He doesn't need parts behind him to cover up the difficult sections nor cut half the notes. ;-)
@Icegal1st Diversity is a good thing when it gives something more to the piece (some already did good things this way), but it is not the case here... it's just "something different to do something different" & it's totally cheap & useless...
Am I the only one who cannot stand pop versions of the Toccata and Fugue ? Technically, no problem, but please don't destroy something that was written perfectly...
