Linda Ronstadt and Jimmy Webb - The Moons a Harsh Mistress live Jimmy plays the piano and Linda performs The Moons a Harsh Mistress from her album Get Closer
That’s right John! Let me put it this way, if the last thing I heard before I die was Linda singing this masterpiece I would die with a smile on my face. Thanks Jimmy!
@@joelweisberg Joel, honestly thought the same thing. Grateful to still be listening to this gorgeous song this side of Heaven, but you're so right. What a send-off this would be!
@@joelweisberg She really left no musical stone unturned during her professional lifetime. I hope her joys in life outweigh her trials. She still is "being heard"-got her new book, "Feels Like Home," for Christmas!
my first time hearing this song was sung by Michelle Pillar and another guy on a CCM American LP from the late 70s I loved it and never forgot it sang it to myself for years without having a copy. It was a Duet, this song with He is Asleep being the other song.
As much as I love Linda Ronstadt, and as glorious as her voice is on this, for me there is nothing like Jimmy's singing of the song on his album 10 Easy Pieces.
Why did people applaud at the beginning of a song? It sounds horrible, it interrupts the song, abrasive noise. Applauding all together contributes nothing. Finger snapping at least takes some skill and doesn't overwhelm the room.
