Perfect! When the album was released, my son was 6 months old, so he heard Rammstein and Lindemann 24/7. When he was 3 and a half years old i picked him up from kindergarden, and he said "papa, can you play wild liver please´, and loud"? He does'nt understood a single english word, but with the first words of the song his gaze goes nowhere, and when the refrain starts he is screaming "wiiiiild liveeeeeeeer" as loud as he could. Simply amazing. This is what music can do. Sometimes you don't need to understand a word and just catch the feeling. Thanks Till for all your songs and lyrics, and all those special moments i have with my son! Thanks for this reaction, D!

He was on this river for almost 3 weeks with a friend of him (Joe Kelly). They sleeped there in the wild and lived from fish they catched. They hunted the fish with bow and arrow😁 There is also a great book about this journey.

Yep, he is a published poet His solo project after Peter left is brilliant The Yukon River trip is now a picture book for the journey on the river. Bears, fish, weather, rapids, roughing in....the river is in Yukon Territory and meanders into Alaska

From one of our Rammstein Super Fans! - Backgroundinfo about Lindemanns Yukon The song "Yukon" portrays the story of an encounter between Till and a wild river in the Yukon region of Canada. The river is personified and described as having contrasting qualities such as black soul but a heart of gold, cold blood but wet golden shrine. The river is both captivating and dangerous, stealing Till's eyes and attempting to drown and kill him multiple times. The lyrics depict the river as an enigma that inspires fear and awe Till. The river's power and unpredictability are represented by the imagery of wet creatures and million fins that try to hold and eat Lindemann. The song also portrays a contrast between the Till's desire for the river's gold and the river's desire for Lindemann's life. The river is seen as greedy and manipulative, selling Till's mind to try and kill him. Overall, "Yukon" explores the theme of the treacherous beauty of nature and the power it holds over humans. The song highlights how people can become obsessed with the allure of nature, even in its most dangerous form, risking their own lives for a taste of its beauty.

You nailed it. Till wrote this song based on his experiences. A few years ago, Till and his good friend Joey Kelly (Irish-American extreme athlete and musician, lives in Germany mostly...I think, not up to date with the Kellys 😅) travelled along the Yukon (through Alaska and Canada) in a canoe for 3 weeks and spent the nights in the wild. For food they went fishing with bow and arrow, almost capsized once....Both of them also travelled by canoe on the Amazon between Colombia, Brazil and Peru. There are illustrated books from National Geographic about their adventures together.

He actually had a really nice vocal performance in this song. And yes we was on a trip on the yukon. There is actually a book with pictures of him about that adventure. In the end he wrote the song about it, your absolutely right.

When Till sings "I want your gold", I suppose he wasn'r referring to the famous and loved from Canadian coast to coast to coast "Yukon Gold" potato. But it would fit the lyrics. 😄

I believe it was in 2014 that Till Lindemann and Joey Kelly went on a 3 week canoe excursion along the Canadian Yukon River. There was an interview about how they capsized and Till Lindemann being an Olympic swimmer had no problem, but Joey was a little scared i believe?..i had the article saved but can't seem to find it, Bummer....but yeah awesome beautiful song 🥰

Ignoring the extended and poor edit, Yukon is glorious. Till's writing is proof that the best way to write is to write about what you know. His experiences in both the Yukon have given him inspiration to write lyrics like these and Peter Tagtgren's musical composition complements them so well. It swells and ebbs much in the same way that a wild river does. Great choice and reaction as always.

I lived in Montana for several years and can appreciate Till's enchantment of that region. Driving five minutes out Billings will find you pretty much out in nature. Heading north leads to the forests by Bozeman and Missoula. Heading south is rolling hills of grassland. A very beautiful place overall.

Not only Till has his own project but also Richard Kruspe, the lead guitarrist. The song "War" (official video) from his band "Emigrate" is worth being warched.

I LOVE this album!! My son got to meet Til in Melbourne Australia about 8 yrs ago during a promo for Lindemann and had his pic taken with him. I was so jealous but wasn’t going to make him take his mum, so he took his best mate. Lucky devil!! From memory, Til had been rafting down the Yukon while on holiday in Canada, hence the song.

Till and Joe Kelly, his friend, were at Yukon ans well as at the Amazon with Kayaks. They made photo books about it. He loves adventures. He was calling his business partner Peter Tägtgren from there who was like: "what the hell are you doing there?" and was asking, if he can compose the music to this lyrics. He said in an interview, that there was at some point a very terrible weather conditions and they nearly drowned. No wonder, with only a Kayak right. 😉 Yes, he loves to do such things, for which reason ever. I know that he loves the nature, but still. Some people need always thrills to "feel alive", I sometimes have the feeling he is one of it, and I would not wonder if he might break his neck one day (not that I would like to happen). Thanks for the reaction.

Blergh. This is a fake fan made "extended" edition. The uploader has several of those. I think it is poorly edited to be honest, you can clearly tell when the song is spliced together in places and doesn't naturally flow. The song itself is one of the best Lindemann songs though

USA...Sorry my dear...USA !!! The Yukon is Alaskas biggest river...by far... Though the Yukon rises in Canada, most of it's length is placed in the USA... Haven't you heard something about the "gold rush"? Or about Alaska? (I'm a "little" disappointed...)
