I think she means blind spighted that he quit and didn't want to try any longer. They had been slogging at it the entire time and she is used to fighting and breaking up. She didn't think he would actually leave....

At first I thought it was all Lindsay but watching the shows it was so obvious that Carl got more and more manipulative. At the end of the day, it is good that it ended. Y’all can keep blaming Lindsay but Carl was an AH in EVERY relationship he was in. He should just come out of the closet and find happiness.
I'm just so confused by Lindsay. She complains about Carl nonstop and how miserable she was being in a relationship with him, but is also mad that he called the wedding off? Carl said it in part one of the reunion, "it was the best decision for both of you and Lindsay is dating someone new and happy!" Why is she still so pressed??? Especially since she is not, and has never been, an easy person to be in a relationship with. Ask the many men who have been unable to maintain a healthy, loving relationship with her.
When did she say she was miserable? Even if she was, she said she was committed to make it work. Also, press is a part of being on the show. She doesn’t HAVE to talk about it, but people have questions. It’s not like she has a podcast talking shit ahout Carl nonstop.

It's tacky as hell and very telling when someone is talking this badly about an ex, especially one they intended to marry. She kept asking Carl why he asked her to marry him if she was such a difficult person, but the same question should be redirected to herself: Why were you so committed to marrying a guy you clearly disliked and found so deeply flawed? Lindsey knows nothing of conflict resolution - it is/was hard to watch. Carl was not perfect but watching him trying to mend fences the day after their fights was painful. Lindsey is the type of girl to stonewall you after a fight and never say “I’m sorry for my part.” She will have these sh*t realtionships for the rest of her life until she self reflects. Wishing Carl nothing but the best in his healing and sobriety - and I’m wishing Lindsey improvement in her seriously toxic mental health.

I really like listening to you but I can’t watch/listen to this episode cause frankly I’ve had enough of Lindsay bad mouthing her ex, we’re over it. She clearly has nothing else to speak of and it’s enough.
Lindsey asking what she needs to change about herself shows has absolutely zero self awareness. And she thinks it's not big deal that they fought horribly 4 weekends and is shocked he broke it off?
She gave him the ring back in January, seven months before they broke up. It’s sad that she can’t see the totality of the situation. They weren’t right for one another.
Sorry but Lindsey was watching and being in a different show then I watched. If she thinks her and Carl were good those few weeks in between???? I think Lindsey has never seen a good relationship if she thinks that was good. Lindsey has all the right words. But I don't think she really felt the way she is saying she did. I think she really needs to just STOP defending herself and sit back for awhile. She goes from one bad relationship to the next.
The way Lindsay recounts their conversations that we all watched on television, is not how it actually happened. She creates a a narrative that makes sense to her because she has no ability to be introspective or take accountably for her behavioural issues. We watched Carl communicate his needs very well this season, and she continued to misunderstand him. He could not win. Lindsay is Lindsay, and we've watched her have issues every season with multiple people in the house. She has a pattern of bad behaviour & she should seriously consider being psychologically evaluated by a psychiatrist.
Lindsay you really need to focus on improving your self and personal growth. Carl does have his issues for sure, but you have a lot to work on yourself.

@@palavergirl7450 Well, yes it is how it works when you point out Lindsay’s failed relationship, as though she has been the sole problem; without adding in any context. Carl has a string of failed relationships, failed jobs, and anger issues! His boss, Kyle aired him out last season for doing drugs on the job. He has a habit as well of not being direct in his feelings. What he did to Lindsay this year was the exact same thing that he did to Kyle last year with LoverBoy lol. He complained endlessly to his then girlfriend, Lindsay, about being dissatisfied with LoverBoy, but, never confronted Kyle until it was too late; and it caused a great deal of tension between the two. And instead of owning up to his feelings, he used Lindsay as a shield and allowed her to take the heat. Just as he did this year. IE. The flower boy situation, which lied about and blamed on Lindsay, when really it was his decision. The only reason Carl isn’t getting nearly as much heat from the cast, is because it involves Lindsay, she’s the perfect scapegoat. She is already blamed for everything, even situations she isn’t involved in. Like Paige accusing her of the Craig leak. Or how about when Kyle called her out of her name repeatedly because Danielle said Amanda was untrustworthy? Like we literally just watched people get upset with Lindsay for clearing her name lol, and “throwing Danielle under the bus”, for a situation they all vehemently attacked her for the previous year… Further, Carl and Lindsay were best friends for 8 years, she was there for him through some extremely dark times in his life. I think everyone (including Lindsay) will agree that them breaking up was for the best, how he went about it is a different conversation. To make it appear as though Carl was upfront and transparent and honest when he was gushing all across social media about his “bride to be” just two weeks before breaking things off, is bizarre lol. Carl reassured Lindsay multiple times that they would get married; all while badmouthing her behind her back to close friends and family all summer. Then, after filming wrapped, he orchestrated with production to film breakup scenes with his partner, on camera, causing her a great deal of embarrassment. I would genuinely hope you don’t find that sort of behavior acceptable right? Production called Kyle Tuesday to film a scene with Carl and then they phoned Lindsay, to film a separate scene. Kyle came back from that meeting afterwards and told Amanda “things aren’t looking good”. But, when Lindsay asked Carl why they were meeting with production, he gave her the run around lol. He cancelled their therapy session without informing her and then set up cameras to break up with his girlfriend, his best friend of 8 years, on camera…and in the aftermath, lied in multiple interviews about only postponing the wedding, saying it was Lindsay who gave him an ultimatum. Well how did his version of events work out? Why is it such a foreign concept for folks to hold men accountable for their bad deeds? Carl was manipulative and produced a storyline, which ironically is what Lindsay is always accused of, and it’s very clear in the final scene with production that his only concern was his public image and the optics. As he complained about getting “cancelled”.
He’s anxious because he didn’t want to marry you and was struggling on how to break up with you. Over the Carl bashing. Lindsay is a bulldozer. Good for Carl’s parents for speaking uo.

I am so tired of Lindsey’s year long PR campaign to bash Carl. Move on with your life!!!!! This is the interview I needed. I understand a little more. I wanted to take Carl's side in thus, but watching the show, what quickly became clear, is Lindsey has been Lindsey from day one. Carl acted like he didn't know her. It's clear that they weren't meant to be. The season was kind of yuck when it comes to their relationship.

I don’t remember seeing Carl saying YOU NEED TO CHANGE. I remember Lindsey asking him what do you need from me? And he said nurturing.. telling her exactly what he needs and she follows it with WELL THATS NOT WHO I AM. Warranted, but then why even ask what he needs if you can’t give it to him?
