While working for NBC-TV in the mid to late 1970s I by chance just happened to see Ms. Wagner shooting scenes at Universal Studios backlot. I was amazed at how professional she was even when waiting around between takes. It was wonderful living life in the television business during those years. We had A LOT of great talent but I will always have a special place in my heart for The Bionic Woman AND Six Million Dollar Man. Lin A. Of Rochester NY.
The episodes I enjoyed the most is kill Oscar, fembots in Vegas, and Big foot with the bionic woman and the six million dollar man. I enjoyed myself watching these episodes. Truly great television shows in the 70's.
I hate to admit it but I had a serious crush on Linsay Wagner as a kid watching the show. I guess we just grow out of idolizing such characters because we get older. I still till this watch the show as well as my favorite series The Six Million Dollar Man, and yes I did watched both pilot episodes. Now am telling my age...lol
My Favorite Bionic Woman episode is 'Doomsday is Tomorrow', where she faces off against HAL, I mean ALEX the Computer. Making her way through it's Defenses, Jamie shows she's a Thinker, rather than throwing pieces of cement! Lindsey was utterly Charming, rather than her counterpart's "Oh, Yeah?" look.
Lindsay Wagner is ICONIC for sci-fi. One of the most stunning women in the world. I was just a child but I remenber a lot of episodies from Bionic Woman.....Specially the fembots.....I loved that show so much.....And I will love Jaime Sommers forever.
My all time favorite episodes are the ones with the fembots. The fembots are much stronger than Jaime Sommers.Wish they had Wonder Woman join Jaime Sommers in fighting the fembots. That would be interesting to watch.
I was a big fan of the Six Million Dollar Man, but liked the Bionic Woman too. A lot of feminist TV show icons in the 70's (Police Woman, Charlie's Angels, Electra-Woman and Dyna Girl, the Bionic Woman, Isis, and of course the Queen of them all: Wonder Woman).
Some of these shows appeared in a cover article on TIME magazine around November 1976. The article titled tv super women featured: The Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, Police Woman and if course Charlie's Angels with the original 3 angels.A store in the times square area in manhattan took advantage of that time magazine article and on its right side window had dozens of pictures of Farrah, Jaclyn and Kate . Lynda Carter Lindsey Wagner, Angie Dickinson. That window gain a lot of attention. On the left side window, it was fill with male tv stars like: Starsky and Hutch,The Six Million Dollar Man, Kojak, Barrata,Barnabas Jones , The Blue Knight, Mannix. It did not gain as much attention as the female stars back then.
Growing up in the 70s, my siblings & I never missed an episode of The Bionic Woman . Lyndsay Wagner is a great actress, and one of my favorites. The Two Worlds of Jenny Logan is one of my all time favorite movies.
I was 8 years old when this show began. I was already watching The Six Million Dollar Man so as soon as I heard about the spinoff, I would watch that too. I truly believe that this was the best show she had ever starred in and I actually miss watching that show. Thank you for a very informative video 👍
The SMDM was my no.1 favourite show in the UK, I was 14 in 1976 and I watched the Bionic Woman just as much, she was very beautiful and had a lovely voice. Her missions were much more varied being a woman and her bionic stuff was just as enjoyable as Steve Austin's.
i loved Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar man when i was a child, my Mum even had her number plate as 6000. What great memories i had watching these shows. i had the time of my life.
How I remember gluing in front of the tv waiting for the series to start.. love Jamie so much....especially when she runs in slow motion with her flowing hair
I love seeing Jaime run in slow motion with her long hair flowing. I too was glued to my tv set,Wednesday night at 8:00 pm on channel 7 watching the Bionic Woman. Even had Bionic Woman posters on my walls.
The Bionic Woman was an awesome series. Lindsay was perfect for the role. She was a subtle but impressive beauty with a great sense of humor & great chemistry with her co & guest stars. I primarily remember her from her series TBW, so I'll say to me, it was her most prominent role, which to us fans was an amazing achievement.
Bionic limitations, I knew that they both had them, like how fast they could run, about 60-65 mph, Jaime could hear with her bionic ear but Steve had a bionic eye with which he could see long distances with, but I always thought that they were equal when it came to their strength, she could flip over a car but not a truck, they could jump two stories high but not three, ok I'll buy that one but the fact that she couldn't lift as much as Steve because she was a woman when they basically had the same bionics in their right arm and both legs, give me a break.
@@markokrunic6325 I agree. I had the biggest crush on her. Love the Bionic Woman show every Wednesday night at 8:00pm channel 7 follow by Charlie's Angels at 10;00 pm same channel.
Agreed. However, Lindsay herself said she was physically tired of doing it. She's been quoted as saying, "I'm probably the most unathletic person I know".
her entire legacy is her best achievement.. this video shows that she's had quite an exceptional life let alone her career...... very impressive young lady..
Her hair was the best. It broke my heart in later years when she cut it all off and had that short haircut while she is making those mattress commercials during the 80s and 90s.
She's the best in Bionic Woman !! Love her really much and also a style inspiration when she was in the bionic woman for me cause I dress 70s style. Also I love her couple with the bionic man/Lee Majors ❤️ he's such a cutie ! Also loved her with Robert Urich in young again and princess Daisy.
One of my favorite movies of Lindsey’s was “The Two Worlds of Jenny Logan”. Even though I was faithful in watching the Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman is my favorite!
I rember Jamie sommers throughout her career I used to watch the bionic woman everyday at 700am on cozy TV I still watch Jamie to today episode of the bionic woman I also rember her on Adam12 for her role there and barnbie Jones when she was on that show I watched every show that she was on jamie sommers is incredible actress was and still is
When I was a kid I used to watch the bionic woman and 6 million dollar man . Both shows where great and are still fun to watch . I remember seeing her a few years ago on the sci fi channel show Warehouse 13 and it was great to see her acting again.
I really felt the same way. I wish they had team up to fight the very strong fembots.Since Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman were both on channel 7 they could of had Wonder Woman join The Bionic Woman in battling the powerful and super strong fembots.I wish that had actually happened back then.
I was a toddler when this show came out. We didn’t have a TV for a couple more years, but from the day I found the Bionic Woman on my television, I was 100% in. I was an outdoor kid, fast as lightening. I bet pretending to be Jamie made me faster. TCH TCH TCH TCH TCH TCH 🏃🏻♀️💨 😂
The fembot story arc was my favorite. I think it jumped the shark when they introduced a bigfoot storyline along with aliens. Christ I was only eight when this came out but I can still recall the episodes. I remember feeling scared when the evil scientist removed the face plate of one of the fembots. It did look creepy. I also owned A Steve Austin doll and his bionic repair station. Later, I bought his nemesis another robot man called Magnatron or something;it was all too wacky.
I had a Jaime Sommers doll and her repair station, inflatable dome house with furniture and several outfits. I was also into Charlie's Angels at the time I had all 4 character dolls, trading cards and a 3 piece luggage set.
The Incredible Hulk movie became unbelievable when the Hulk grabbed a tank by it's barrel and swung it over his head like Popeye. It was wise for the Bionic series creators to make their characters believable based on their limitations. I loved both series and watched them every week.
I wished the B. W. Would’ve gone farther for a few more seasons. It was an very good show and she was so charismatic. She has a personality that you just want to watch her over and over again. No one can play her character as good as she did. 👍👍💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
this is my favorite tv series / tv show of all time !!! I loved Lindsay in this character as Jaime Sommers. I would love to see it again on television here in Chile. When I was a child, every afternoon I ran to see that program, it was the only thing I liked on television. fantastic besides beautiful woman Lindsay ♥️♥️♥️
Lindsay Wagner will always be My All Time Celebrity Crush. So very talented and a heart of gold. Have been lucky enough to have met her on a few occasions. She is such a warm and beautiful lady. Love you forever, Lindsay. ❤️📺🎬🎞📽
As a kid, I loved both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. However, Jamie Sommers edged out as my favorite of the two. A couple years ago, I came across the show on Prime Video and was taken aback by how well the show had been made with well written storylines and mature themed plot lines. The Incredible Hulk held up well over the decades too.
I us d to watch both shows, " bionic woman & 7m man as a kid. Great show's & Lindsay Wagner was my childhood dream girl, lol. Thumbs up 👍👍👍 for this video
WHILE I REALLY ENJOYED THE BIONIC WOMAN WHEN I WAS A KID, I KNEW THE CHARACTER WASN'T REAL BUT LINDSAY WAGNER SURE WAS. HER PERSONALITY, SENSE OF HUMOR AND EVERYTHING ABOUT HER SAID STRENGTH AND COMPASSION. SHE DIDN'T HIDE HER FACE IN A TON OF MAKEUP LIKE A LOT OF ACTRESSES DID AND STILL DO. LINDSAY HAS ALLOWED HERSELF TO GET OLDER GRACEFULLY. I LOVE YOU LINDSAY WAGNER. I WISH WITH ALL MY HEART I COULD HAVE MET YOU🥰🤩
Very informative! I think I see some of my RU-vid videos used here as clips too. Thanks! I love that they allowed Jaime to still be human and that she used her bionics wisely with fairness. She was never a bully and was compassionate toward her enemies.
Well I remember during Steve's leg injury recovery, he glimpsed Jamie being wheeled out from the recovery centre on a gurney and that's was the first time he had seen her after her death, not at #6 2:20 min, not after seeing slip into a coma. He runs to try and catch the ambulance that's taking her away but his leg still have recovered enough. He goes back and threatens to throw Oscar and Rudy thro the walls if they didn't come clean about Jamie.
@ Chris Elson. I haven't seen the episode in years, but as I recall, Steve Austin outside the hospital in his wheelchair sees with his bionic left eye, Jaime Sommers through a window as she's either sitting in a wheelchair or laying in a hospital bed in a room and Steve bionically wheels his wheelchair into the hospital, knocks down a guard or hospital orderly and then enters her room and she is gone because hospital personnel took her out of the room so that Austin could not attempt to see and talk to her.
It's hard to believe that I actually grew up with the Bionic Woman and the Bionic man. Great memories still watching them to this day Love watching these shows
I did learn a lot. It’s interesting looking back at facts about shows from childhood. I had the Bionic Man and Woman dolls and got upset when my cousin lost some pieces 😄
I really enjoyed the film The Two Worlds Of Jenny Logan, just brilliant. The Bionic Woman was a must to watch each week. Lindsay made the character, i loved the humour she put into her character also. Thank you Lindsay...
Loved her in Warehouse 13 and Scruples also. I didn't watch all of the other shows she made appearances on. I will always remember her for the Bionic Woman though because I was at a young impressionable age.
Im totally obsessed with Lindsay and have been Sense i was a kid. Running home from school to watch the bionic woman. There was a great made for TV movie she did called the two lives of Jenny Logan. It wasn't mentioned.❤
As a little girl growing up in the 70s this was my absolute favorite show! It was nice to see her and Lynda Carter as wonder woman. It wasn't easy to find strong independent woman on TV then and they were my role model. Lindsay is indeed a great actress. I loved the two worlds of Jennie Logan too. She is also a great humanitarian and gives a lot back.
I love every thing she has done because acting is about stepping out of your every day self,& becoming that character,& she does just that. If u can cry on camera,& on cue that is great acting.
The bionic woman was the most watched in our house hold aspecially by me Arian ,like charlies angles ,the golden girls ,wonder woman ,american tv was the best in the seventies ,i still continue to watch all reruns ,lindsay wagner is still a beautiful acctress ,wished they bring back the bionic woman ,or even make in to a movie thanks america for such fantastic shows ,Adrian.
In 1971 I was riding the rapid-transit to High School. Behind me was a young woman reading a movie script.I asked her about it,and she said it was for the upcoming movie Two People which she would be in with Peter Fonds. She introduced herself as Lindsay Wagner and said she was an actress. We talked a little bit and one thing I said to her was,"If your name's ever up in lights I'll remember you."She smiled and thanked me. I have followed her career ever since, seeing every show and movie she was in.(Ironiclly enough I missed her first appearances on The Six Million Dollar Man!)
I first heard of the amazing Lyndsey Wagner in The Bionic Woman and have been a fan ever since but my favorite of her performances is in "The Two Worlds Of Jenny Logan"
Ok. Although .. I Absolutely loved her as J.S. the Bionic Woman .. whatever she starred or played in She Was Just as Fabulous . . To Me ..she had a Natural Acting Ability, and Always gave me and many others Joy to Watch Her on Screen ...
The first time I ever cried watching a movie or TV show was Jamie's death scene. The image of her riding the horse going slower and slower while you could hear the sounds of the operating room. Then the sound of Rudy Wells voice "Oh dear God.." when he saw the aneurysm in her head. 😢 Even my mom was crying at that part and she thought the show was stupid.
