In this video, guitarist Luca Colombo takes us through his Helix Artist Tone Preset, "LC Smooth," specifically crafted for optimal performance with a semi-hollow guitar or a neck pickup that leans towards a slightly darker tone, ideal for jazz, acid jazz, or fusion styles. Luca's preset comprises three snapshots that seamlessly transition from a clean to a crunch sound. The signal chain incorporates a compressor, overdrive, delay, and reverb. Notably, an additional EQ block and volume pedal are strategically placed after the amp and overdrive blocks. This arrangement ensures that the A30 Fawn amp's breakup is not pushed, only adjusting the output volume. The preset is meticulously designed for compatibility across both Helix and HX, skillfully utilizing only eight blocks in total.
