It would be perfect if you let us put NAMES on each snapshot, like big helix !!! Amazing product by the way!

While It's handy that each Snapshot will autosave changes WITHIN a preset, but It should definitely be mentioned that you need to save the ENTIRE preset(Like in regular edit mode) before leaving Snapshot mode, or else it will not remember your changes. Luckily I only wasted about half an hour before realizing this, but it might save others some frustration in the future!

Damn I love this feature, but I did not realize you have to stay in snapshot mode in each preset l, and that's what you continue to see on the U.I. Very handy none the less.

I wish accessing the snapshot mode was just the 3rd option on the mode foot switch, way easier.

I 100% agree. I don't see it being any easier for Line 6 to implement than that.

It’s like that on the HX stomp, and it’s easier, that’s why I don’t understand the Lodgic.

Can you change out effects entirely for a snapshot? From say a delay to a tremolo?
@WarrenPostma

Press Oh Please God, then select quickly REBOOT REBOOT REBOOT. Then update the line6 podgo. THen pray. Repeat. There's a bug in the firmware where it won't ever go back into snapshot mode. Instead you see SNAP UP and SNAP DOWN on the left, but the system won't show snapshots until you factory reset your unit. Nice work Line6.

Once you create snapshots on all 4 blocks, can they be moved? Like for example, Can I move the #4 block to the # 2 block? I made perfect tones for each part of song, but the lead part that I must quickly switch to I made on the #3 block, which is hard to hit when I have to go from #1 block. Would like to move it to #2 block. Thank you!

I just use preset footswitch mode and copy the same preset into the 4 positions. Then I make the changes required in these separate positions. This way I am able to change amps and cabs in the different presets as well as name the different sounds on the podgo.

I can't get fully out of snapshot mode. When I push the up and down buttons, it seems to go out, but when I select a bank and preset, it shows the four snapshots instead of the four presents in that bank.
@WarrenPostma

It's super wonky. If you have this problem also press view and then press up and down again, and view again, and up and down again, until it stops being stupid.

@TacosLastStand

That means you have changed something from the original preset. “E” means edited, from what I’ve read.

Isn't a snapshot just exactly the same as changing to another patch? You could just create 4 patches, all the same but each having a difference (more delay/OD etc).. and then change patches ? Or am i missing the point?
@WarrenPostma
@WarrenPostma 3 года назад
Yes you missed the point. Snapshots have the same effects chain, and you haven't change the active preset. Instead think of that preset as a complete pedal board or rig, and snapshots are just four quickly created "modes" within that rig, where one of the effects is on, or off, that isn't on or off on the others, or there are differences in mix or levels or modulation parameters, per snapshot. So a reverb PRESET with a delay and a reverb, and an amp model, might have four presets. The same amp model applies to each. Only the gain of the amp, the delay mix and delay feedback, and the reverb on/off change between the four presets. The POINT is that when you change PRESETS there's an audio dropout as the system reinitializes. When you change snapshots, there's no glitches, and no clicks.
@Shaunybish
@Shaunybish 2 года назад
@@WarrenPostma Does that mean that the tails on the reverbs echoes et cetera do not cut out when a snapshot is changed ?
@WarrenPostma
@WarrenPostma 2 года назад
@@Shaunybish If you turn the tails mode on, and switch snapshots, yes, the reverb and delay tails are preserved, which can be incredibly useful and musical. If there's a case where you wouldn't want the tails, you can disable tails even in snapshot mode. The other thing, besides tails is that when changing PRESETS you lose ALL A/D for an unmusical amount of time, about 150 milliseconds, so if you need to keep the sound of your guitar at a constant level while changing its sound (adding more overdrive), you would always choose snapshots or use the stomp mode to kick the signal chain's overdrive virtual pedal on/off without changing active preset number.
@CerealDust-nStuff
@CerealDust-nStuff 11 месяцев назад
Since the update, snapshots do not work like this anymore. For example. If I turn off "Glitz" for snapshot one, then that automatically turns off "Glitz" for snapshot 4... rendering snapshots useless at this point.

This section deserves a heck of a lot more than a one min tutorial, way too brief , not complete explanation , for example ''it remembers these changes ''' wut >?
@WarrenPostma
@WarrenPostma 3 года назад
It remembers ON OFF Changes like "delay on/off" but to change knobs like "mix 80%" to mix "40%" you have to push to have it change the value for the preset then you have to save the preset.

Line 6 I wish you would explain more how the snapshot works for Pod Go. I am finding conflicting comments from various videos. And what about using two external foot switch with snapshot? Can I bank up and down while in snapshot mode or not? Will it change to presets or stay in snapshot mode is what I’m asking. Will the previous sound continue or adruptly stop when switching banks? I wish we could assign snapshots to external foot switches.
@kissthissonline
@kissthissonline 4 года назад
Snapshot mode keeps everything loaded in the DSP, so when you change to a new snapshot, there is no break or gap in the sound, as there is when you change to another preset. Any variable on any block can be changed instantly, but there is no gap.

You lost me. I do what he says and my snapshots stay the same as the original snap shot 1. I feel like I'm either missing something or he isn't being thoroughly clear.

To me, setting these up Versus doing each block in a stomp mode, is more taxing than he went through them, with a bit over-simplification. Also Speedriider's comment was accurate, as this dude didn't EXPLAIN saving snapshots. Anyone HEAR the word SAVE or a derivative of it? I am not impressed with ANY of the video tutorials FROM Line 6 of their own product! I just bought one of these units, and it's a real task trying to navigate from one area to the other, because too many of the YT Vids are "sectionalized", so they dont really do much "show and tell". I just watched a "REVIEW" of a purchased Patch Bundle, and the guy never even got into the POD GO or the songlist! Amazing.....too much interest in "showing off" his Gtr playing.
