I’ve been a lineman for 26yrs in NC, I helped restore power after these storms. There is no better job in my eyes. The life long friendships I’ve made over the years, and the people we’ve helped restore power to, I would never do anything else. It’s one of those jobs where if you make it a week, you’ll do it for the rest of your life. I started when I was 21 and never looked back. There is only one downside to it, being away from my wife and kids for weeks at a time. Other than that, bring it. From the swamps of New Orleans to the mountains of West Virginia been there done that. We are our brothers keeper. Stay safe, always wear your rubber….

As a firefighter I have unbelievable respect for these guys and girls they do unbelievably dangerous work and their work is very rarely brought to light so my hats off to these people they're true quiet professionals

I’d like to add that the left out a name in that accident where the drunk guy pulling the uhaul hit us. The other fatality was by the name of George Cecil. Every one called him “Cecil” he was a hell of a man and a great lineman. I think it only right that I add this being that I was there and knew him. May he, the others, and all fallen lineman Rest In Peace and may their family’s find peace and love.

I'm a ex-firefighter I was a volunteer I work side-by-side with the lineman their job is very dangerous I respect them for what they do I am a truck driver now and there's been many a times disaster have come to the u.s. and I have driven into the storm to deliver the goods I pull a flatbed so I have all Transformers generators equipment in before the storm is coming I've even been caught in several hurricanes and had to stay there because I couldn't leave what they sacrifice and also what truck driver sacrifice is so much do a tribute to the drivers I'd be grateful

When everyone is in their warm house I a storm and the lights turn off, there’s a crew of guys out in -20 whether trying to get your power on in midnight with only liggt from their bucket trucks and helmets

Check out a movie called "Life on the Line",with John Travolta. It is a wonderful film. At the end of it,are a list of All the lineman who died,during the film's production.

Hey Mac could you do a Public Safety Diver tribute they do unbelievably unforgiving work bringing people's loved ones back from a watery grave to bring them home so their families can have closure that's where I hope to work my fire department career until I retire

I’m a journeyman lineman of over a decade and I thought the video was well put together and super professional. It motivated me, inspired me, and reminded me why safety is so important. I get where you’re coming from bub but it’s rare we are recognized. Let’s try not to be too hard on the general public for trying to show us some love. Keep your head up and be safe out there. As someone who's seen my fair share of lines in the 20 plus years going, why can't you just be humble??? You took the hero thing to heart while some of us just look at it as our calling, our lifestyle, our passion. Stay humble man because it isn't always about you out there on a line it's about the mens safety around you. The take pride part is working with generations and old schoolers,
