Molly, I’m sure Kathy can help you with this, but you can order frames online from Art to Frame and then your frame gets delivered to your house and you only have to leave to get foam core or mounting board 😊. Roseville CA had a 12 day spell of 100+ days last year. Nothing to compare with your 20 day spell that’s for sure! I’ve bought my frames online for about 2 years. You do need to add 3/4” to each finished edge to get the proper frame size. This gives you 1/2” border fabric on all sides.

I stitched the Feast of Friendship Blackbird Designs last year and had it framed by Total Framing and it is one of my favorite pieces I have done. I used all the called for colors - even on the house and the shading is beautiful - plus the roof has several colors but it gives a unique look!! You will love it! Thanks for sharing and another fun video!! After I heard you discussing the name I wanted to share that I put Grateful - Blessed at the bottom.

either of your orangish fabrics would be great with pumpkins as is. The darker or brighter oranges and some reds would pop, Brenda from Brenda and the Serial Starter has talked about hem stitching - not sure if she showed anything or not. Fun as usual. Molly, your shirt is beautiful. I like your hair back. I think you would look good with shoulder length hair. I lived in Alamagordo from 1963 to 1967. I was on the playground in fourth grade when I heard the news President Kennedy was shot. We regularly went to El Paso and Juarez. Your food looks delicious. Too bad we can’t have a huge fiesta in person. I make stuffed jalapeños with bacon and cheese that I would bring.

A pattern with lady and dress of leaves is Silver Creek Sampler's Olivia Ochreleiph. It's no wonder nobody can remember the name of that chart. lol. Autumn Quaker by Rosewood Manor might look nice on that beautiful fabric. Blackbird Designs Winds of Autumn has some charts that could look pretty on those fabrics. Fat Quarter Shop has cute Autumn patchwork charts like Autumn Love and Farmgirl Fall that might look cute on those fabrics. I totally agree...ixnay on people and words in cross stitch!

I was thinking of Away we Ride by Blackbird Designs, or if you have the Sister’s Book by Blackbird it has a sampler in it called First Cock’s Crow which is cute! I don't mind the zippering. However, some seem to. What if you unzipped before you started filming? Summer is not my favorite season, but July is too early for fall! So I'm glad you haven't gotten everything decorated, Molly. Glad to see the stitching though!! Blackbird blue house - I followed the chart, and the blues blended better than the photo. Did yours, Kathy? Always reminds me of an older northern home in the woods. Colorado Stitcher substituted: Peace and Plenty, which is beautiful. I used: His Many Blessings. Could use your last name? I used to work with a gal who liked to tell me I was old (I can't remember now how much older than her I am, maybe 5 or 7 years). I finally gave her a look and said, "You should be so lucky to someday reach my age." She stopped.

Cecelia's Samplers in Branson, MO carries "A Most Noble Pursuit" as a chart plus fiber and fabric for you to kit it up with. Don't know how many they have on hand. Oh my, what a busy show today. Lots of goodies. And I had to tell my husband that I am famous because I got mentioned on Flosstube with "Knee High By the Fourth of July". He was excited for me; I could tell!. It is so nice to be considered your friend. It would be fun to hang out with you two and not just for the food. Looking forward to Kathy's fall show-n-tell and whatever Molly shared with us. I grew up having ‘backdoor’ neighbors and I really miss that now! I envy your being neighbors! I now refer to the 65th birthday as my Medicare Birthday! 🎉 So, happy Medicare birthday Kathy (and Karen)🎉. 64th is The Beatles Birthday, so hopefully you Ve felt loved and needed and with your snacks, well fed as you finish the year! We’re just getting into Summer weather so I’m not ready to think about Fall. June is June gloom and July still has a lot of fog but getting nicer. I’ve felt blessed when I see the temperature index and how hot it’s been in other areas or the torrential Summer rains that others have been experiencing. We got extreme heat warnings for temps to 90 which included how hot the asphalt gets and taking caution with your pets. It’s nice of you to take comments into account, but I agree with the be yourself comments. I love you just the way your are 💕🪡

I now only begin a new start if it's fully kitted up, missing a floss or 2 in the past after starting one drove me nuts. Hardest thing for me is usually which fabric & if I sub a floss color, will I be happy with it. Agree the cover photos are not the same as some floss hues. I'd just leave those 2 motifs off on the sides of Welcome, not add anything. I keep my frixion pens with my Finishing Supplies, so I can find them & so I don't use them elsewhere 😆. I have a couple Stand Magnifiers (and clip-ons), which I'm constantly checking on to make sure they are covered or asking my hubby did I cover them especially if we're leaving the house. I think Unplugging might be better to ease my mind, TY. Oh geez, knee # 2 ... best wishes.

Everything is beautiful and the food- my stomach started growling immediately! I was born and raised in Alamogordo and used to skip school to go to El Paso to get McDonald's 😅 We didn't have anything but a Taco Bell and a Pizza Hut. Anyways White Sands and Lincoln National Forest are still my favorite places on earth. Alot of great memories growling up there. I hope to visit my childhood friend there one of these days- we've known each other for 60 years. I have a 65th coming up in a few months,actually looking forward to it. Thanks ladies for another great video!

Loved watching you both! So interesting to hear about El Paso and Las Cruces. What a beautiful gift from Birgit! About linen storage - I wash and iron all the linens I purchase (even though some of the hand dyed ones lose some of their color) - I need to get any wrinkles or creases out. Then I hang them on pants/skirt hangers in my guest room closet, organized by stitch count and maker. Works for me. Looking forward to Kathy’s fall charts. Happy 65th, Kathy!

Kathy: I am currently in PT for one of my knees (osteoarthritis). I'm hoping to avoid surgery. Do your knees bother you when you get a storm front coming through? I need to find a new stitch seating situation because I stiffen up if I sit too long in one position. Molly: I love those pretty fall fabrics. Doesn't The Blue Flower have a bunch of patterns with squirrels on them? Maybe those would work. Or Stitching with the Housewives.

Molly I know you’re not a huge fan of stitched people but Punchneedle and Prim.Stitcher mag (fall issue 2021 maybe?)has a Salem witch that would look great on either of the first two pieces of fabric. When I stitched her I left off the words and made her into a cute prim pillow. Thanks for the video!

Omg! I was so surprised to hear you talking about Mesilla. I lived in Mesilla Park when I was a child! I was about 6 years old. I’m 67 now. Unfortunately our house burned down one Christmas. We went to visit someone and when we came back everything was gone. The community brought in toys and all kinds of essentials for us. I do remember the house. We lived in NM for a couple years. We could see “A-“Mountain from one of our homes and on some holiday people would walk up the mountain with lanterns. It was beautiful! We also went to White Sands. I was the oldest child and even at 6 I can remember some details of our time in NM. I really enjoy you floss tube!

Happy early birthday Kathy! What an amazing gift box. I'm not ready for fall stitching yet so working on stitchy room pieces. I haven't been there since the 80s and dream about the food at LaPosta. My sister used to live in Las Cruces then El Paso and we went a lot when I visited.

Great post! Love your floss tubes. New to floss tubes and I’m in heaven. Just getting back to cross stitch after a 30 year reprieve. The little hemstitch booklet by Tristen Brooks, I believe that’s the name of her children. I have several of her little books and love them. I forget the designers name. Sorry, Senior moment!

Pinker n Punkin, found her years ago, I have a big binder full of her freebies. Just love her creativity. 😮 my Seriphim sunflower is much more colorful than yours. I’m going to slice it up and use part of it in a collage piece, like scrapbooking, and stitch a leaf spray on it, or fall leaves. I have a couple others that are too distracting I’m going to do the same thing and stitch small motifs on those pieces. I got the idea from the Artsy Housewife patterns on Etsy.

Tristan Brooks is the name Barbara Jackson used when she was publishing documents; named after her twin sons. There is also a lovely hemstitched book done by Marion Scoular (pronounced schooler) if you can find it on the secondary market. Lovely video and always enjoy seeing all that you two have done.

Sorry, I forgot. Is there any way you can fix your lighting or filtering on the camera? Believe it or not, it really fades you out and your projects out, and truly it hurts my eyes. 😮 I only have one eye anyway, the other one is legally blind. But anyway... Thanks again, enjoy watching you❤

I really enjoy your floss tubes! I just received my flower thread from Birget for Jane Parson! I wasn't sure what size linen to use, so it was nice that you showed the coverage on 32 ct. I too really like the idea of an easy stitch on a 32ct linen with one thread. Kathy can you suggest a needle size when using flower thread. Looking forward to your fall pattern floss tube next time. I also printed out a couple of the recipes they all looked so good!

I can see where some may think you talk fast but I grew up with three sisters and you had to talk fast to be heard. I don't stitch when you are showing things (I'm actually working) but I can imagine that showing a pattern longer would be helpful since I have to pause and go back to see what you are talking about.
