Use "Contour" command and give the direction (axis),spacing and range or distance to create all curves along the hull to skip the plane creation and curve from intersection etc.
Also thinking if after you do 'Intersect' command, you could go ahead and 'SelCrv', and 'Project' immediately onto the chosen base plane and maybe save some steps?
A friend and I have started a new channel for Naval Architecture topics and instructional videos since making this. Feel free to check us out: Selkie Engineering - ru-vid.com/show-UC5RIL3TY_iZmIr_fUyeF89A
Hi Andrew. This tutorial is absolutely helpful to me to get start designing boat. Would be able to share your imported file to me, so that i can practice? Tnank you
This problem often comes from not having all of your lines on the same plane. I'd recommend looking at your lines from all perspectives to ensure that they lay on the z=0 plane (if you're working from the x-y plane). The intersect command will only intersect lines that truely intersect. Therefore, if they appear to intersect from the perspective you're viewing from, it's possible that they do not when you look at them from another view.
Hola, quisiera que modele un casco teniendo las lineas de forma, más que todo me interesa el afinado del casco. Estoy tomando un modelo de MAXSURF y quiero que me salga igual, partiendo de sus lineas de forma que lo obtuve con el comando Contour.
