the most amazing thing about j-pop is that it is so astonishingly diverse that people can create all kinds of music with 2 vocalists, e-guitar, e-bass and drums and it will still be rock. Listen to artists like Base Ball Bear or Akfg and you might know what I mean. Can't describe it well.
I'd argue the fall of troy are similar-ish, fall of troy has a lot more screaming though and is a bit heavier, but just in terms of their unconventional/"random" nature, amongst amazing technical ability, they draw a lot of similarities
Shoot .Fudge well they use a ton of overlapping effects, TK really likes his distortion and overdrive, Miyoko sings way off pitch a lot, and Nakano's drums tend to steal the show. He has a fast erratic style to his drumming. None of this is bad in my opinion. Just very stylized.
