Watch my free blogging masterclass ➜ www.adamenfroy.com/recommends/masterclass Any questions on link building? What are you struggling with when it comes to building links? Comment below and I'll do my best to answer.
Adam, THANK YOU for the insanely helpful content. I'm blown away...to the point where I just paused your Masterclass to return to your RU-vid video to tell you how much I resonate with your teachings. After two years as a corporate wonk-turned digital nomad, YOU and your content is the first time I've had eureka moments and am inspired to start (vs. feeling overwhelmed with the micro details). Can't thank you enough. BRAVO, buddy. -Jillian
I've been blogging since 2012 on and off, I've never made any money from it. I need information. what you're doing is great but I need the meat of your tools. Learning what you do is great, I appreciate that. Thank you.
You are an inspiration Adam! you are the OG when it comes to linkbuilding in the Digital marketing/SEO space. Been seeing a lot comments mentioning samurai marketers to get similar links, recommended?
I think it’s important to note that the ability to do competitor research and backlink analysis only applies for ahrefs standard package or higher ($199/month).
We know everyone buys links, especially at the beginning, once you reach at least 20 DR, you could expect to make some more decent exchanges. But up to that point it's free guest posts and 💸💸💸. People don't wanna talk about it, especially on RU-vid, but we all know how it is. Prepare to spend thousands to reach that decent DR score and break the ground. Overall, good info, subscribed ;)
I am a senior-level software engineer. Adam's approach here is valid, but boy is it time-consuming. In reality, this is a full-time job for 1 or 2 people. I think your value proposition in blogging really needs to start with superior quality blog posts and then secondly with superior UX design of your posts. (The UX design of posts is a value proposition I am sticking with since it is my forte) Then measure the quality of posts you have with the quantity of quality posts you can publish. Treat that like a numbers game. When you start getting a little bit of ad revenue coming in then hire people to do white hat link building. If you spend a lot of time thinking about link building in the beginning you wont get anywhere in your blogging career.
UX design. Absolute key for reducing bounce rate. When we started focusing on user friendliness and made our articles visually more appealing, the bounce rate decreased 800% 😮.
Wow this is gold. I have two questions. What is your success rate with this type of outreach? How many links can you expect after 100 emails? Second question (I didn’t understand this part): where do you give them their backlink? Do you link back from your own site or do you add a link in your next guest post on another site? If the latter, than it means that you have to find a topic that fits all 3 sites.
These are the types of people you wanna buy from. Adam is already successful and is not selling the basics (I actually wonder what's in the course if this is what he is giving away for free!!). He's selling the advanced stuff. I hope to buy the course when I've made enough spare cash from these "basic" tips to go more in depth. Thank you Adam!! This is genuine "I'm making enough money so I can teach you too" stuff. So generous ❤
Thanks Jen! We actually just launched a new product called Income University today that’s a lower price. If you sign up for the email list, you’ll be able to join and I’m gonna be doing live courses in there. 💪
Thanks for the suggestion. :) You can scale up your costs depending on how quickly and aggressively you want to grow, but the biggest expense to any online business is people. Outside of that, in your first year, you can pretty much go with web hosting, Ahrefs (or just trial it at first to do all of your keyword research), SurferSEO, and that's about it. Most WP plugins are free and it's not that expensive. Cost comes when you start seeing revenue come in and decide to hire your first writer.
Sounds great, thanks. We are a long-established company trying to break into the new era of marketing. There are so many email campaigns and events you can do before.....
Great video Adam. You bring a uniquely authoritative voice to the subject. I am a very experienced writer and journalist, but I am a novice when it comes to blogging and link building. I'm currently working my way through Blog Growth Engine too, which I would highly recommend, and am just about to publish my blog. I know that getting backlinks will be my greatest challenge, but this is a real help. Thank you.
Dear Adam, great video and I'm following your advice but could you tell on why someone already in authority would want to get an article published by a newbie or someone who is just starting out in this direction?
A video on some of the internal battles you had before starting in Affiliate marketing would be nice. There had to be a pull the trigger moment? And the maybe some stories of perseverance, in this field would be awesome.
Thanks a ton for this great video, Adam! I have a question: Will backlinks from websites in another language than what you use on your own blog have a negative impact on your SEO perf?
More great info. Thanks Adam. One question, sort of. What are your thoughts on having a blog post on 'your' site and the same information on another site as a guest post? I've been reading about tactics to deal with duplicate content in this situation but just want your view. Cheers.
Excellent info, Adam! Tons of knowledge. I'm almost done with all your videos and I'll need to sign up soon. 😀 Do you ever ask for companies where you guest blog for financial compensation too? I'm a brand new blogger and would love to make a few bucks in addition to the link.
I have a question if you don’t mind answering. First off,I love your content!! I’m glad I stumbled across your page. This is building knowledge at its finest! The question is; I just started a business that helps other business with their website design and local business marketing and social media management. On my website that offers local services (to a few counties of my state for now), I have a blog page that I’m trying to build up with quality articles, monetizing that using affiliate links, adds, etc. Should I keep that blog attached to the main business even though I’m only providing my services locally but for the blogs nationwide (worldwide hopefully)? Thanks!!
HI Adam, I have over 5k videos on youtube and I am preparing blog, can you do also link building with youtube? like adding links to youtube description and just increasing the traffic on blog with youtube?
Unfortunately it doesn't really work that way. You mainly need traffic directly from Google to make real money with a blog. You can push people from RU-vid to a blog resources page or helpful tools page with affiliate links.
I read in seo course that link exchange is discouraged by Google. Can u plz confirm if we can exchange links like we link to the blog and that blog link back to us within same time frame?
I would try to avoid those unless they're with a super reputable site like HubSpot or a DR 80+ blog. You don't want to do too many of those direct exchanges, but more of a three-way trade.
Like what you do Adam....good clean content. Got a question. I have a top level Dutch domain name which has no activity for 5+ years.....it only has a "under construction" splashpage. It used to be a businessblog but it will be redeveloped to a business marketplace. The strange thing is that with no activity on this url the domain authority is 24 and if I see it correctly I got almost 200.000 backlinks which are worth $$$ as I believe watching your videos. My question is.....what do i do?
Adam, I could be wrong, but last time I checked, people's attention spans were short, very short. I just don't understand how or why these long, overly detailed blogs are proper.
If I add multiple external links to multiple different articles to my site, would the link juice power be less because it would spread out instead to 1 external link?
Link value is passed from page to page. So if the pages linking to you are different, then the value is not totally lost. But you are correct that if there are 10 outbound links in an article, 1 link gets 10% of the link equity. You should go for new referring domains, but if you can get multiple links from the same domain, it is good to do that too. It has diminishing returns after a lot of links from the same domain, but is still helpful.
Hi Adam, thanks for the great video content! Instead of writing guest posts, can I get blogs to insert a backlink in their existing articles? Most blogs seem to ask for a fee in order to write a guest post for them.
I would not pay for guest posting. If someone wants to write a guest post that is the payment. A 1000-word article that is well written is worth 100-150 US dollars at a minimum. What niche are you in?
Hi Adam - I have a quick question. For one of these guest posts - if it includes two links pointing back to my site, will that count as two back links for my site or just one?
Well, I am using Postifluence, which is not a free but a very affordable link-building tool. It builds 100% organic do-follow links & it also helps me to upgrade my SEO strategy from time to time which is helping me to bring organic traffic to my website.
Hi Adam! Thank you very much for the great content, I learn a lot from it. :) How many visitors a month should my blog have in order for me to start working on link building? If I don't have traffic I feel like I don't have any credibility. Thank you!
Start link building when you have no traffic. No one’s gonna really care or check. If your site looks good and your anchor text leads to a helpful post, start link building right away.
Hey there.. thank you for th evideo. So, I'm curious.. I have accounts on Medium and others, if I link back to my websites in those accounts, that's a way I can get higher domain authorities backlinking to me?
I do have experience in SEO of 3+ if you have any openings in SEO. kindly let me know, I have exp with a Singapore firm, I worked in a remote-based and If my tasks and roles do not meet your expectations, I am willing to do an internship.
Enjoyed this video, as it gave a lot of good info on link building! How long should it take to get a response back with this method? Also, I have been sending out emails to inquire about guest posting, but most of the responses have been requests from the blogs for me to pay a fee,-anywhere from $45 to $550. This is from blogs with the authority of 30 - 31. Is this normal?
@@AdamEnfroy Thank you for your response. I noticed that the DA rankings from the Semrush site have gone down considerably. What are the differences in DA rankings so varied between Aref , Moz, and Semrush?
Hi Adam, I am inspired by your RU-vid videos and ready to take action on starting my own affiliate marketing blog. I was wondering if you could make some recommendations on a good freelancer who can help me write quality contents. Appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks.
Hi Adam, I am using your link-building strategy for my fashion blog. I'm reaching out to regular sites (DA 10-50) but it seems everyone wants me to pay them for a guest post. Do you have tips?
Good advice - but when you start out like me - your website has no value whatsoever - so show's going to be bothered to link to you or have you writing guest posts? Maybe if there's someone out there we could help each other out?
I'm not sure, but I've seen many links take months to show up in Google Search Console and Ahrefs. Just keep focusing on your inputs (articles and guest posts) and you'll be fine.
You focused on "transactional link building." But I heard from so many places that that is one of areas that trigger Google penalties a lot. I can see there is much nuance. What is the line Google use to judge it is a legitimate exchange and won't trigger the penalty?
Appreciate your videos but there is a disconnect between you and newbies. What would WE write in the email… no features in magazines to highlight, no 20 blogs a week, etc. Plus each year the competition becomes fiercer.
This video is a year old. But like 3 years ago, Google stated that guest posting for links doesn't work. They ignore guest post backlinks. The algorithm sees that the person writing the article owns the site that is being linked to, so no link juice is passed. Everything in this video is a waste of time. Unless you get the owner of the website to take the content and put it on their website as if they wrote it.
Meanwhile, I am sitting here trying to see how this passes as a "side job" every time I add another "so you need to..." to my counter and calculate the X amount of hours needed.
Dude I don't have 500k readers and I wasn't in Forbes... of course it works for you but what about starting? Smh this content is of very little use to somebody getting starting...
