Hi! Is it possible to have a table and a chart in the same word document. But have a macro such that if I edit the table in Word document it affects the Chart within the same document?
Yu could try paste special for the chart data. Copy the word table data and paste special and link it to the Excel data sheet. If that updates, which it dod in older versions of Word, you could create a macro to update fields
Thanks, this video is super helpful! One follow-up: if I add columns/rows to the Excel file after linking Excel to Word, it seems to keep the same parameters I originally linked in Excel and removes the information in the last column (after adding a column). Is there a way to update the parameters or stop this from happening?
Change of plan, I have just done a video on this issue, basically just copy a blank column or row before you use paste special. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CVo3qI7lbIQ.html
Hi need some help, Ive created a live linked word doc from an excel on my home laptop as its faster than the work computers, now however when ive emailed it back to my work computers evern tho i sent both the excel and word documents its removed the live links between the two? is there a way to keep the links going after emailing?? it would mean repasting over 200 units so anyhelp would be apreciated
If you go into the file tab and then Info, you should be able to edit the links. You will see where the Excel file is saved. That is if you copied the Excel file and placed it on your work computer. If that is the case when you edit links you will be ableto select it and the links should work.
@@ITsEasyTraining1st Hello, We haven't been able to get the live link options to work for several months. Noticed it in July last year, but wonder if it was associated with migration to Sharepoint earlier. Have you had the same experience, and if so have you found any workarounds? Thank you
