***** When I was little, I hung onto one of those latches on a garage door and hung on as it went up and once it was all the way up, I was terrified and I was just hanging there until I couldn't hang on anymore and I just fell and broke my ankle and YES it definitely hurts.

I had a similar death experience in italy on a hike, I was searching for my father that had aimed to climb a pretty steep mountain and reach the top, and I went alone, when I reached the top the amount of climbing space was narrow and I had almost tripped.

Mr. Pokirby No, but.. see.. You said "an actual death experience". Even you're dead for a while due to stuff like a heart attack it remains "Near death" because death is finite, near death involves dying for a short while but being revived. If you had an actual death experience then, uh.. What's the afterlife like? I gotta know! =)

Kasperio Silverlaine Uh... Let's see. It happened years ago, but... From what I remember, when it happened, I saw myself, but as if I was looking down on myself from a few feet in the air. I was slowly floating away from myself for a few seconds, and that's as far as I got before I was back to seeing the world through my body's eyes. So... at least I can say FOR CERTAIN that there IS... something... after death.

lol, im a boyscout and we so absolutley insane stuff ! i recorded this one video of when we were by goblin valley, and there was a barred off mineshaft, but i was thin enough to fit through, so i went and explored and came acrossed this huge hole in the ground, my freind ian was able to ger through barly, so we dropped a rock down the hole, and it fell for ten seconds without any noise, then there was this loud splash ! and there was a minecart on the other side, so we got a wooden plank from the metal shaft thing, and walked acrossed it... it was awesome !

I live near Placerita canyon. It's a fun place to hike but the trails are so long and it takes about an hour just to walk to the end of my favorite trail there. And my favorite trail is the Walker ranch trail.

Awesome! While I'm not actively involved in Scouts anymore, I value being an Eagle Scout more than anything else I've done. I learned so much on that journey that has served me well. And, as Walter said, it looks REALLY good on a resume.

Lucky you. I got kicked out while I was working on my eagle project, because they found out I was an atheist. I had a friend who got kicked out for being gay. It may look good on an application, but the people who are actually in charge of the boy scouts are horrible people. Years of hard work, public ridicule, and monthly payments, all completely meaningless just for believing something different.

My cousin in July was on a doombuggie when he went hitchhiking with his friends and dad and his the doombuggie rolled over and my cousin was on the driver's seat and they were about to hit the ground, his hand got stuck in a grill type thing on the doombuggie and hit the ground and lost two of his fingers. A helicopter was called and he was airlifted to the airport and then an ambulance arrived at the airport, took him to the hospital and currently they are planning to put on prosthetic fingers on him. His friends and dad were okay and weren't injured at all...

I once thought I would climb to the top of a waterfall but on a noce safe path. However I soon realized that a steep incline does NOT favor out of shape people and I had to go back down when I was halfway up.

How I almost died, my mom is a construction worker like my dad and then I didn't wear steel boots and stepped on a nail an my foot at a huge hole in it and then hospital blah blah blah then I had my foot amitated and 3 types of surgery
