The airpods guy literally made me laugh out loud. I work at a sandwich place and make $10 an hour, and every single person i work with wears airpods to work so idk how much of a status symbol they really are...

The guy who fired the intern for wearing airpods reminds me of my boss when I was 16 at a Italian restaurant. For our dinner break we had to buy food from the restaurant and couldn't leave or anything, and we were allowed to either have a salad, or a spaghetti with marinara. One time the chef messed up an order or mushroom alfredo and gave me that instead of the marinara and we were both reprimanded because employees aren't allowed to eat the merchandise. Which I PAID for. Then one day when the other manager was there I got off work and I asked her if I could buy a canoli because I never had one, so she made me one and I paid full price like any customer who would have walked in the door, on my own time off the clock. The next time I came to work the other manager said I wasn't allowed to purchase food from the restaurant because I work there. Like I'm not an American citizen once he employs me and I can't buy food like every other citizen who walks in the door. It was insane. On top of that he was a pervert (I presented female as a child) and was super inappropriate to me, again, 16 years old then. And the restaurant is infested with huge cockroaches and part of my job was to kill them without any guests noticing, and once during monsoon the halway was flooding because the garden was flooding and he made us stuff towels under the doors so he could keep customers inside as long as possible before telling them there was a flood. And every year I see them win "best Italian restaurant in city" on the local best of city awards. I hope that guy is dead honestly.

The sad thing about that first thing is like... Most of the time dads don't get ANY time off when they have a new baby. Sometimes moms don't even get enough time, even when they just had an entire child... Like, what if you adopted a child? What if you don't need time to physically recover, but need to help your kid who's been in foster care their entire life adjust to being in their own home, helping them acclimate to a schedule?

I was so shocked when I found this video bc I didn’t know people posted on LinkedIn the way they posted on Instagram??? Lmfao I definitely am a person who feels absolutely WORTHLESS if I’m not working. I was recently let go of a well-paying office job as a temp because I was sexually harassed. My boss forced me to speak up about it even though I was uncomfortable, then she fired me anyway because it was a bad look for the company. It’s weird that I’m angrier about losing the job that was paying all of my bills than about being sexually harassed, but I wanna get better bc I don’t wanna end up like the people in this video. :(
