Ironically, if you look at the lore it becomes clear that the Black Templars are very much what the Emperor intended for the Space Marines and what they do is strongly similar to orders and operations he himself commanded. The Imperium after him is far more tolerant out of necessity due to resources and manpower being stretched by the eternal war.

As part of my teacher study I have to do multiple internships at schools. Today the 8th graders spotted my festival bracelets and talked to me about music. But come to think of it I listened to Linkin Park when I was 14 aswell and ended up with Cannibal Corpse. High hopes for this one!
