Linkin Park - Crawling Mt. Eden Remix 

Why can't more Dubstep be like this? Relaxed, not all over the place, and with an actual rhythm.

I have a vivid memory listening to this masterpiece when I first discovered it. This was about 9 or 10 years ago. I was 14 years old, rainy day in my hometown. I was with my old friends, we were at a park, high as balls after smoking weed in this cardboard fortress we made with boxes we found at this school. We were just frolicking around in the rain and having a good time, and their came a point, where the water beating down on the earth, temporarily subsided. So I decided to separate from the group, and be with myself. I went to these swings nearby and played this tune. I vividly remember just swinging back and forth as this was blaring in my earphones, gazing at the grey sky in silence, just waiting for rain to come back.. Doing nothing more than feeling the moment as it was. I will never forget the impression that made within me. Its amazing how fast time passes, and how a moment so simple, could be so profound... Nostalgia is a fascinating experience.

I remember when this song came out I was only 14 or 13 at the time. I still remember the feeling of change in this song AND THE ART the art went will with it. What I got from this video was that the feeling of a futuristic music and the change of old civilization to modern and futuristic human society made me think that change would greatly affect me in a nostalgic way. I thought at first it would never happen. I am now 18 and turning 19 this year and hearing this again gave me a haunting memory of my past. The past that for so long has kept begging for me to come back. Nostalgia.

I can imagine myself sitting inside the tall towering buildings in the city, looking outside seeing the gray and raining sky and the people below going on about their daily lives, without ever thinking to stop and enjoy what's around them, instead they think what's up next for them. The city represents the lingering memories of the industrial revolutions, the country, represents human freedom and our connectivity to nature. Sitting in front of my screen, creating models for games, is tiring, I want to be free, but work keeps me tied to the chair as the screen sucks my life away. This song reminds me of the forgotten melancholy of my life.

OMG holding the weight of the world on my shoulders and I sit here listening to this mix making me hold on longer and longer.

Mt eden plunges you in a deep 200-500 years in the future portraying such a emotional yet soo so powerful ride through what could be the everyday life in the distant future. The vibrance beetween each and every song that he creates is speechless in such a magical way. Its like he could put you in a state of deep emotions through a sad futuristic song then swing moods into a much more powerful and meaningful one. Mt eden ,him, he retains the old school roots of dubstep.

I'd like to point out (being an old LP fanboy) that this isn't mixed from the original heavy metal "Crawling" song from the Hybrid Theory album but the more mellow version called "KRWLNG" from the Reanimation album. Indeed much better for mixing as this one's done AWESOMELY!!!
