After Chester passed, I feel this song may have been a cry for help from him. We'll never know I suppose. At any rate, you guys nailed it, and I too have given up many times, and this song just help me express those feelings. Thank you to Chester and Linkin Park, and thank you so much to you guys for this awesome cover. I'm a new fan of Halocene, but love your work thus far. Keep it up gang.

90% of the songs are a cry for help. A lot of fans and critics panned One More Light as pop fluff but after his passing... listening to most of the songs on that album is pretty brutal lyrically.

I have 1 minor critique: the lack of vocal shakiness on the line “I hyperventilate” makes the line a bit weaker, but that can easily be overlooked by Brad’s epic screaming and sustains on the last “misery” and the fact he could’ve done double that is far beyond impressive
