This is exactly how I feel no matter which live version I hear. The studio version pushes Chester's voice from the focal point of the song with too many effects. Even in other songs where there's really loud music, Chester's vocals stand out much more. Just my opinion, though.
Chester's voice is so clean here. OMG. Didn't even realize that it was him singing when I first heard the song on the radio. The only thing it tells me is that Chester was hurting a lot even before Chris passed. You can feel the pain in his voice... But yeah, it was a lot worse after he passed. I watched some concert videos from after that, and it's almost like Chester wasn't even there... there was emptiness in his eyes, his movements were slow, it felt like he was physically carrying a heavy load with him- and he missed a lot of notes, something he rarely ever did before.

He knew. He started wearing hats and sunglasses to hide his pain I think. He didn’t want people to see it in eyes... you can see it at his last few shows that he was hurting.

I didn't even discover Linkin Park until after Chester died, but I can't stop listening to their music. This is one of my favorite and it never fails to make me cry. Chester looks so uncomplained. Peacefull with so much sadness in his voice. We know these feelings can't stay together for long. This sadness is not like before, it is so deep. And Mike on his side is just cool and happy. Everyone can see that in the last vids: they were not living shows the same way. I like this set so much, but it's pulling me so down... Damn... I need to forget it exists or I'll follow the same path.

I love Chester, remember when LP came out I was in middle school. 2 This day he is still by far my favorite singer. Seen them live a couple of times. They put on record quality shows live. Chester and Shinoda deserve more credit.
Chester really understood true pain, this shit is so relatable to me with mental illness, causing all my own problems and being aware that it's all me. I know the way I think sometimes is so unhealthy but I can't fuckin help it I'm so used to being in constant pain that there really is comfort in it and the panic and chaos of drugs mixed in. Sometimes I really don't know how much longer I can go on it truly feels like I have no future and that my destiny will be to destroy myself untill their is nothing left. I miss you Chester I'm holding on my hardest everyday to live cause you help me not feel so alone in how I feel. Rest in peace brother 💓
Three plus years after Chesters passing I still get bummed when I hear any one of Linkin Parks songs & continue to understand why, when he had the world by the balls he would want to leave us. The fashion in which he did makes it even that much more painful to swallow. We will never know, all we can do is continue to listen to what he blessed us with and say ...........Thank you Chester, Rest In Peace good soul!

Chester shares the same child hood trauma as many of us . Most people have an answer especially the professionals . But when a part of you is stolen it very very hard to fix as we can stop the record playing in us .. even the people that love us can help . It’s a living nightmare.. when we do find love we give our Orr .. but in most cases it’s rejected because that person isn’t on our same page of life .. our eyes see a different picture and sudden noises are attacks on our nerves.. it’s hard to be the person we are .. we can be creative or resourceful. But it’s a fine line everyday ... remember we never asked to be this way ... a fucker came into our life and stole something
Chester passed away just before I was seeing them live. It would have been my 15 year old son's first live gig, what an introduction to live music that would have been. A true musical and lyrical legend is no longer with us. RIP Chester, you will always be remembered.
